This is a wonderful facility only 5 minutes walk from El Jardin, the center of town but on an amazingly quiet small side street. Our room, also called Jardin, was beautiful and spacious, a lovely oasis to retreat to in the middle of our sightseeing days. Only five rooms, all very separate from each other. A full hot breakfast of one's choice is prepared to order daily and was served in our own private patio. The staff was uniformly gracious and helpful - we speak adequate Spanish which was useful. The owners, who are Brith and American, live on the premises but most communication was with the outstanding Mexican staff. Bathroom had double sinks, good shower, and a very large bath tub which we appreciated. Large amount of closet space. Good wi-fi connection. Good restaurants within short walking distance, esp. Panio, an outstanding bakery open until 10:00 p .m. and Nectar Cafe. We have traveled extensively and this might have been our favorite accomodation ever.

Room tip: We loved Jardin room for a couple but didn't see others.

This small hotel is a beautiful and tranquil refuge on a quiet street. With just a few rooms/suites and a variety of public rooms and terraces it is possible to pass several days without seeing other guests. Our accommodation was Terraza which has a small living room, a spacious bedroom with TV, ample closet space, an enormous tiled bathroom with double sinks, soaking tub and separate shower, and a private terrace with table and chairs and two loungers. Brush up on your Spanish because the staff speaks limited English but they were unfailingly pleasant and helpful. Juan, the main person with whom we had contact, was delightful and we looked forward to seeing him every morning at breakfast. The breakfast menu is extensive and you can select as many items as you wish; a typical breakfast for us included a sumptuous fruit plate beautifully arranged, breads, orange juice, coffee and either juevos rancheros or chilequiles; as a result, we typically skipped lunch and had an early dinner. Casa Misha is a short walk to the Jardin and several very good restaurants are nearby. It is like staying in a private colonial home; highly recommended.

Don’t even consider another location. 2-3 minutes walk from centro, amazing staff, luxuorious rooms and the breakfast was incredible. I felt like I was in my own home with staff. Only four rooms and I never saw another customer the whole weekend and they were fully booked. I had breakfast delivered to my room each day. Just spectacular.

We visited for 9 days. Stayed in Jardin, a comfortable and spacious room. Casa Misha is close to a variety of good restaurants, history and shopping. Very friendly staff. They are happy to arrange airport pickup, tours, reservations and taxis. Also enjoyed the leisurely and generous breakfasts in a variety of locations within the hotel and, of course, the chocolates left after bedding turndown at night!

We have traveled the world for 40 years and finally found our favorite hotel. We had views through French windows onto quiet courtyards with lush plantings and fountains out of large rooms filled with antiques. A private sun deck with lounges and with well trained service and cooks completed the stay, as well as being only two blocks from the plaza. Hotel Misha is reason enough for going back to San Miguel.
