The accommodation was average. It is by no means a "resort." There is a small dinner menu. They have a few selections for breakfast but most selections are unavailable. The shower water was lukewarm. There is wifi. But, you can barely connect to it. The staff were helpful in arranging drivers to go to oslob and to kawasan. You have to take into consideration that you are in a remote part of the island . Great views. But you can't get into the water.

There are a lot of nice resorts in and around Boljo-on & Oslob in Cebu with all the wonderful and fancy amenities one would aspire for. However, if you're just looking for a nice comfortable place to stay in preparation for your whale shark encounter that would give you your money's worth, then Jaynet Ocean View would pass that criteria. Nevertheless, based on my own perspective, here are the pros and cons that I considered to come up with this review:

Pros:
-A good wide 180deg view of the sea from our room was truly awesome.
-There are just 4 rooms making the place less crowded and less noisy
-Easy access as the place is just along the main highway
-Food is served in an area just outside your room for convenience
-Nice place to just unwind, meditate especially in the common veranda area
-Good food but very, very limited choices. You could request though for possible alternatives.
-Staff are extra accommodating (Michael cooks well)

Cons:
-Wifi is very poor and slow. Bring your own Smart wifi for backup.
-Globe signal here is intermittent
-TV reception is bad leaving you with no choice but to watch DVD
-Swimming area in the beach is not that encouraging as boulders and rocks surround the front area. Water is not so clear with strong waves. Probably okay for snorkelers as there seems to be a marine sanctuary in the area.
-Not much activities for families with kids
-No swimming pool to compensate the lack of swimming area in the beach

A nice Nipa covered lounging area in the lower and upper verandas would really give it the comfort one would want. Cheers!

We stayed here for one night for our backpacking trip around South Cebu. of all the Hotels we stayed, this was the smallest (with just 4 rooms) and the closest to a home away from home. Staff made us feel like we're family. They gave us tips and directions in exploring the cultural sites of Oslob and Boljoon.

The view is especially amazing. Waking up with wide windows and a spectacular sunrise was unforgettable. Beds were comfortable. They didnt have Cable TV but they had an extensive collections of movies you can choose from.

Food was not impressive but enough to make us feel like it was home-cooked food (Not the ones you'd expect from a fancy hotel).

Beautiful view of the ocean from the room. It's like waking up in the middle of the ocean. There is a wide balcony where one can take breakfast, lunch, dinner. The cook can make home made meals based from fresh produce from market nearby. We had freshly grilled sea food and local chicken soap and was so yummy! Available amenities are jetski and kayak. Very near Oslob Whale watching and more quiet than the crowded hotels in Oslob.

Room tip: Second floor
