Xcaret is an excellent destination for the aquariums, aviary, Historical displays and shows. The most popular attraction the "underground rivers are also very worthwhile but not a snorkeling attraction. If you have limited time in the area I recommend Xcaret for the concentration and quality of attractions.

I traveled with my husband and two kids ages 7 and 9. We had a great day exploring the park. We didn’t head right for the rivers when we entered based on a tip from a park employee. They get crowded quickly. Instead, we walked around enjoying the park and the kids spent some time in the new kids world which they enjoyed.

We snorkeled before lunch. The lagoon with the snorkeling was crowded, but it was a nice introduction to snorkeling for my kids who have never done it before. We saw a few fish, but there is better snorkeling trips near Cozumel.

You can pay more to swim with sharks or dolphins, etc. We walked by these experiences and again, the earlier times were quite crowded. If I did this in the future I’d be sure to get a later time.

Lunch was a buffet. There was plenty of variety and the food was good. Everyone found something they liked.

We ended our day with the Azul river. This was amazing! Definitely the highlight of the park. It wasn’t crowded at all after lunch so we could enjoy ourselves.

I love the pictures Xcaret takes. You scan your wristband at certain camera posts and you get a high quality photo. We got some great family pics this way! Plan on snapping every camera stop picture you see. You can buy every picture taken for $90 USD no matter how many. No need to bring your camera and risk it getting wet.

Bring a towel and mineral based sunscreen. There are lockers to leave your personal items. Changing rooms and outdoor showers are available.

Highly recommend a Day here.

It took us 3 afternoons to visit! This park was included in our Hotel package & just a boat ride away! Or by bus . Loved the aquarium side of it, especially the turtles , they were super awesome! Great place with family.

It is a nace place to go with the family. There are different activities you can do, for different taste. You can take your swimming costume if you like the beach, or if you want to do any water activity. If not dont worry, you can walk all day through different places, watch animals and more.
