Mexico has some of the best sterling silver there is. I have countless pieces of jewelry and at least ten bangles from Cazumel and they look as good today as they did 11 years ago when I bought them. All I have to say is shop around and from the price they quote you you counter bid less than half of the price they give you. If the store owner dosent budge then just start to walk away and say thank you. More than 75% of the time they will come after you agreeing to your price. In March of 2016 we were visiting with friends and my friend needed to purchase six rows of cascading ss chains to wear in front of here black dress for her granddaughters wedding that June. We found to necklaces of three cascading chains each that after speaking with the jeweler he could attach to form one exquisite piece. The price was $375 US and my friend Barb turns to me and says " ok now do your magic". I bargained the price down to $110 out the door. So never, ever pay the asking price as a rule of thumb. I had purchased a sterling silver tennis braclet lineded with beautiful turquoise an they were asking $75US but I got it for $20US. So be smart when you shop and counter offer less than half of the price they quote you. Also cigarettes for the smokers are at a great price in Cazumel, friends of our purchase 10-20 cartons and they save tons of money. The other thing is antibiotics and various pharmaceuticals can be purchased including viagra for those interested. Be smart about your shopping so you can get more for your money! Good Luck and have fun.
