We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Chocolate Factory. It is off the beaten path which tends to make one apprehensive at first, but it turns into a very interesting and colorful establishment. Eduardo and his daughter gave us a very comprehensive explanation of how cocoa is processed and included hands-on time to enhance our experience. We even made our own chocolate to take home.

We attended the tour, and we loved it! They were very knowledgeable, they took the time to answer questions, and based the tour off of the chocolate that we enjoy. Worth the visit, and want to do this tour again in the future.

Learn how to make chocolate by those in the know. None of your crappy Cadbury’s or Hershey’s here, this is the real deal. Fun & educational don’t bother if you like mass produced chocolate, otherwise fun way to spend an afternoon.

Eduardo and Valeria were wonderful hosts and a great father/daughter team. I corresponded with Eduardo prior to arrival to ask if this activity was appropriate for my kids (6 and 8). He was very gracious and assured us that if we thought they could handle it.. they’d be fine. We learned a lot about the chocolate making process and then got to make our own! The facility was great! Beautiful, clean and had free WiFi. The chocolate was tasty and we purchased many to take come. I recommend working out your taxi deals ahead of time as the taxis were not fair.

My husband and I spent an incredible 90 minutes learning about chocolate-from tree to flower to seed all the way to the finished product. Our guide was very knowledgeable and much fun. Lots of tastings. We made a chocolate disc (from nib to the packaging!) to take with us. Would definitely recommend if you are interested in chocolate. Maybe not for young children because of the length and history but it was ideal for us. Nice museum and gift shop. Extremely friendly staff.
