Wanted to get some ocean and pool time away from my boutique hotel stay in el centro so did a day pass here. Pass during my stay in Mar 2024 for one adult was $77 for 9am-5pm. I went right at 9am to catch their Oceanside breakfast buffet service. When lunch opened up got to cherry pick their fruit selection and made my own little açaí type bowl. I don’t drink and I think just had one Diet Coke the whole time but honestly just wanted a comfy quiet place to sprawl out for the day. Love the quiet ocean lounge area, appreciate newer pergola. Lots of open loungers and hammocks and andiron deck chairs. Americans and Canadians relaxing while their spouses were out diving. Plenty of instagrammy nooks and cranny’s. Fancy Daybeds for rent via front desk, had security guy monitoring stragglers who parked there for free, unsure on their price. Pool was more crowded during my experience, especially later in afternoon with big groups. I scooted out at 2:45pm, had to return towel card and get my drivers license back to leave. I knew front desk would be long lines at 3pm when checkin starts.
Day pass worked great for me. Just what I was looking for. I wish there was a non-alcoholic rate that was like $20 cheaper I could’ve opted into. But c'est la vie!

The food at the world cafe was amazing! It gets better every time we go back. The world cafe has an amazing breakfast selection, and is always offering something fresh to cook . Carlos is an amazing server, always looking to go the extra effort for a great time. Ana is one of the cooks and she shares her love in every dish. Eloisa is so welcoming to the guests at the hotel. And chef caballero is really changing the game for the better in food. Go see Gloria for hamburgers!!

We loved our stay at Cozumel Hotel and Resort. We were there for two weeks, end of February until early March. It is a small resort with many current and past scuba divers. We chose the all inclusive option for the first time. We have done the breakfast only options the other two times we were there. The food is typical buffet style, actually quite good. They do feature some “specialty” nights with menu options for a three course meal, which was a nice change.
The resort is an easy walk to town. Love the large swimming pool and across the street, beautiful beachside. There is a tunnel that runs under the busy street. No walk in beach, but easy to get in the water and snorkel or swim.
Rooms are basic, but clean and good air conditioning. A mixed age demographic, but probably more middle-age to retired couples.
Our favorite server was Marianna and the concierge, Alexi, was very helpful and kind to us. We noticed many of the staff were familiar from other years we have visited.
Looking forward to returning!

March 3-11 2024- Have been coming here for 15 years. This time…. We got horrible stomach cramps and Diarrhea three days after arriving. We mentioned it to several other guests and many people had the same problem. When we got home we went to the doctors and tested positive to C-Diff. A bad bacterial infection you can get from undercooked pork or seafood. Note we only ate at the resort. We have been home a week and have been on strong antibiotics. Still feel week and stomachs are not back to normal. We are going to have to really consider if we want to go back or not. We have been very sick. Pool and beach were nice. But so sick I was only able to dive twice in 8 days due to horrible explosive diarrhea. We were stuck at the resort near the bathrooms for more than half the vacation. The flight home was uncomfortable to say the least.

Dear guest, thank you very much for choosing Cozumel Hotel and Resort for your recent vacation. I am sorry to hear that your stay was not what you expected.
Regarding your comments about getting sick and other sick guests, I find it strange that having a paramedic service and a guest service desk at the hotel, we have not received any reports of guests with any illness or disease. We are always very careful with the quality and freshness of our food, as we are constantly evaluated and audited by authorities at all levels of government, as well as internationally on hygiene measures, both staff and food and beverages offered in the establishment, which is why we have the badges that endorse us as a hygienic and sanitized place in every way; I do not omit to say that even our staff is constantly monitored on health issues, which is why in health issues we have not had any problems. In any case, we thank you for your attention regarding this matter, which we will forward to the departments involved, in order to give the corresponding follow-up.
We hope you get better soon and again I offer you our sincere apologies.

Quite possibly the worst Wyndham I have been to but…. If you aren’t planning to spend time at hotel, want cheap accommodation and ok with a hard bed, then this could be the place for you. Everything needs upkeep, pool, rooms, …. Staff is kind and location is great for walk to town and dive shops.

We love coming to this resort for the past 8 years and all of the staff was great. This trip was actually very unpleasant. Ariana Cardenas was the “manager” that was trying to increase the price of a day pass and continued to ruin our one day stay. How can someone tell you one price and a second later increase it by 30%. If you come to this resort, and run into this manager, just make sure you watch her run your credit card.

It’s disappointing that a resort like this has someone that is there just to rip off people.

Room tip: Book in advance and through official website. This resort doesn’t care about the Wyndham brand and the rudeness of the leadership is insane.
