Our room (Dr. Atl) was comfortable for a couple and furnished with local touches. We enjoyed the terrace garden for breakfast when the weather permitted. The staff is personable and helpful and extremely responsive by email when making reservations. WiFi is excellent. The location in Coyoacan means you can walk to the colorful market, central square, restaurants and bars, Frida Kahlo Museum and the Leon Trotsky Museum. The actual street is a bit hard to find for taxis.

Mr. Quintana, the mind behind the Pug Seal brand and hotels has three goals: to meet his client's needs, to meet his employee's needs, and to meet the needs of his investors. What was most striking to me about my stay at Pug Seal Coyoacán was how the first and third goals completely depended upon the success of the second goal. And this was wonderful. Let me explain. Pug Seal Coyoacán is not the boutique hotel for a little prince or princess whose every whim will be satisfied; it is instead like visiting the lovely casona of elderly and much more quiet Auntie Mame who—let's just say—because of some distant relative or friendship with an artist in Coyoacán, or a marriage to a Mexican revolutionary family, decided to keep a home there. And—lucky you—you have been invited to visit. So you will be provided a lovely breakfast on the terrace overlooking a generous garden with coffee and hot chocolate and sweet pastries. You will be treated as a distant family member with respect, courtesies, and gentility. And perhaps late in the evening you'll hear some distant relative nephew enter in the wee hours of the morning, or in the afternoon you might catch a glimpse of a tiny girl who has also come to visit. In the evenings when you decide to return, you'll find some refreshing cold beer and small sandwiches. Just right. All of the employees are part of this process and this is in fact what gives you the sense that you have been welcomed into a tightly knit community in which you have been allowed to participate, and you are just as courteous to them as they have been with you. There is no doubt that I will come back to this and Quintana's many other distant relative homes.

This is a very beautiful decorated B&B in Coyoacan area. Each room has different style and deco and give you a very nice home feeling. They also offer 5pm drinks and snacks. The breakfast area is very small so it is a bit crowded on a bad weather day. Suitable for holiday couple but not so suitable for business trip.

We were in the Comitan Apartment, which has a separate entrance. The staff was so helpful, from the registration, to helping us with getting our clothes washed for the same day (a Saturday), to signing out. The breakfast was very good. We wanted to explore the museums around Coyoacan and enjoy the great restaurants in the center of the town, and the location is maybe the best of all hotels nearby.

Room Tip: Comitan is a room with a refrigerator, sink, stove, etc.
