Stayed here for 3 nights, checked out for one night (to move to another destination)then returned again for the final night of our stay. This is located in the Condesa neighborhood, a hip and trendy and SAFE neighborhood with lots of little shops, restaurants and a great walking path through the city. Located about a 20-25 minute UBER ride from the airport (in mid afternoon traffic), it's on a quiet street with lots of exploring nearby. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by Rosario who quickly checked us in and we were shown to our room. For the first 3 nights we were in room 202. Not a huge room but with a very comfy king sized bed, nice linens, a great rain shower and a mini bar (included), nespresso machine and apple tv. Breakfast is included and while we read complaints of it being "simple" I couldn't disagree more. There was a small selection to choose from each day (from a menu) but it included all the items you would want - eggs, meat, fruit, granola, even pancakes. We also enjoyed lattes and cappuccino. Honestly, there was nothing to complain about. We received turndown service each night (with yummy chocolates on the bed) and there were also robes in the room to enjoy while there. There is a small bar on the main floor (which we didn't use) and we only ate our breakfast in the small restaurant although we did see folks enjoying lunch and dinner there too. The front desk staff speak good English and were quick to help with directions, etc when needed. WE even left one bag with them on the night we were checked out and they were only too happy to allow us to store it with them. When we returned, we were greeted with champagne and this time, stayed in room 303 which was larger, but had a lower ceiling which my husband didn't enjoy as much (felt a little closed in). I had a challenge finding real vanilla and Rosario (who was back on the final night of our stay) even tried to help by calling the head housekeeper at home and asking her to see if she could find it for us at a local supermarket. Unfortunately, they were not able to find it but the effort they put in was much appreciated. The only reason why we did not rate this a 5 is because on the second night, we found some of the usual amenities were not put into the room after it was cleaned - mainly the nespresso coffee capsules (you are allotted 2 per day). As we knew we would want it in the morning, my husband called down to reception to ask for it. We waited 20 minutes and then he ended up going down to reception where the young man working the desk said he had forgotten it and would have to go and find it in the kitchen. My husband also mentioned we had no sugar in the room and the young man assured us it was behind our coffee machine in the room. AFter waiting for another 10 minutes for him to find the capsules, my husband came back to the room only to find that there was in fact, no sugar. We had to call down again and this time they brought it to us but again, we had to wait. Certainly not the end of the world but definitely inconvenient and the fact that he had "forgot" when the lobby area was so quiet (it was after 10pm) it seemed like a poor excuse. Aside from that, we loved the area and the hotel and we would recommend it and would stay again if we were to return to Mexico City. I would agree with other reviewers that Uber is the way to go. Much safer, definitely cheaper and there were always ample cars around ready to take us wherever we needed to go.

An in-the-know friend who travels frequently to Mexico City recommended the Maria Condesa and it completely lived up to my expectations and more. It's a boutique hotel with 16 rooms, which are lovely and quiet, furnished in a hip but comfortable modern style with accessories from one of Mexico's hottest designers. They overlook the beautiful, tree-lined streets and art deco buildings of this chic neighborhood. The staff could not be more helpful and helpful and made all arrangements for us, from a car to pick us up at the airport to a driver to take us out to the Teotihuacan pyramids. The breakfast is fantastic and generous. I was in a deluxe double room, which was fine, even for a week's stay, with a good-sized bathroom, but next time I will treat myself to the larger spa suite with a sauna!

Room Tip: For a longer stay or just to treat yourself, reserve the spa suite with the sauna. It's not that much more expensive and well worth it.

If you are looking for a soothing break from the craziness that is Mexico City you need to stay at this gem in the beautiful Condesa district of DF. You will not be disappointed. Pick one of the rooms with a sauna for a little extra pampering.

Fantastic little hotel in a great part of town. The hotel was very clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful. You can walk to many restaurants, parks and places to see, if not it is just a short Uber car ride away. I would definitely stay here again.
