Once completed, soon, this will be a game changer for Mazatlan. From 6 to 8 AM join the thousands walking, running, exercising, biking, boarding, or just sitting and watching the morning begin.
If you happen to be staying in one of the many upgraded hotels and condos or the many in progress of being built, sit on your balcony with a coffee, a special person, and your biggest decision will be whether or not to fortify the coffee.
What to do next! That’s the special parts of the rest of the day.

While not a long as Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan has a very nice Malecon (walkway) along the crescent shaped beach on which the city is built. It is going through a major upgrade currently so a few of the areas will be blocked off. But don't let that stop you. It is a great view of the bay and the many monuments along the way.

I stayed in the Old Town part of Mazatlan so the Malecon was right there. They are upgrading it with the installation of pavers along the sidewalks. A bit of a long walk with lots of picture taking. Several places to stop for photo taking. Several interesting statues. Areas for venders to sell their wares and for food.

A great place to enjoy the ocean view and swim. Street vendors are nice and friendly and do not harangue the tourists. Lots of places to get great shrimp.
