3rd stay at El Cid Castilla, 1st in a pool room. Great view on 3rd floor, looking at El Moro pool waterfalls. Quiet and easy access and huge balcony. Very hard mattress, asked for a foam pad but never received one. Made it through with a sore back.
We where there March 13-20th Just before the Mex nationals springbreak. It was busy but not too crazy. The tuba bands where around a few times, just enough to be entertaining. The beach is great for long walks, very clean with beautiful views. We where up early 7-8 am, so getting a papala in front of the volleyball net was easy.
Not much intertainment in resort,a bad 3 piece so called band - horn, keyboard, singer and taped music, very karoke. They are doing some work in the lounge, hopefully bring back a better band. A different show in the buffet everynight. We did'nt attend, the atmosphere is like a school cafeteria.
Food overall was not bad. Went out a few times. F.I.S.H is always our favorite, about a 10 min. walk. Went to Gus Gus for a great margarita and to listen to the band, also close by.
Was a wonderful week in the sun at a deal we could not refuse. Now if only spring would come to Minnesota. We just had about 10 in of snow and it is April!
