Took the local bus from the historic district, 10 pesos pp, and just relaxed on the beach under a palapa. The beach is in the golden zone so there are lots of tourist shops and places to eat. We ate at Lucky B's, friendly staff and wonderful food that is easy on the wallet. Lots of vendors on the beach selling just about everything, we did get some good deals but others just a "no gracias" and they are on their way. Took a bit of walking to find our way back to the street, walked down the Malecon a bit then waved down a city bus again and stayed on it until it got right to the entrance to the cruise ship terminal.

Nice beach area, great place to look for shells or just hang out on the beach. You can look and walk in the rock area to find your hidden shell or treasure.

one of the best beach areas in Mazatlan for swimming or playing in the water. Some of the other beaches are more rocky.

We went here on an excursion from our cruise ship and went body surfing at the restaurant! We spent hours swimming and it is a gorgeous location. One of the best we have visited as far as relaxing. Food is not great but the coronas are abundant. The beach vendors are VERY persistent. Be ready to say no, once you hit the public ground. They offer food, horse rides, swimming and shopping.
