Depending on the tide, Noppharathara looks always great. It´s so versatile and wide. Hardly any hotel on the first half before getting to the hell of Ao Nang.

Located a couple of kilometres away from Ao Nang, you can sense that something’s different when you drive in the direction of Hat Noppharat Thara.

Suddenly, the neon signs stops. Less tourists, more relaxed atmosphere. You can walk up the islands when ride is low. No hawkers here. This place is a breeze compared to Ao Nang Beach.

Noppharatara beach is in my opinion much better than Ao Nang beach. Separated one from the other by a large rock formation, the beach is much longer, no long-tail boats, fewer people. Go to the rocks at the end of the beach, at the mouth of the river, to have a walk in the rocks and observe the sealife. Some parts of the beach are slightly muddy and low tides are very low so that bathing will have to be far away from the shore

Stayed near here, just a long stretch of beach with not the nicest of sand, more shingly and once again becoming polluted from the longtails and rubbish in the sea :)

Not a white sandy beach. Not a chrystal clear water. I think ao nang beach or railey beach is better. The sand is not a pure. Nothing special.
