We chanced upon this restaurant and according to my bf one of the best Filipino pizza version he tasted (he said Altrove of El Nido is Italian pizza) while this is localized pizza. We tried the 4 flavors in one pizza and the best choice among those is the Bagnet Gamet and Carbonara pizza. We even went back (we ate lunch and we ate dinner again) here because it was our last day in Laoag before heading back to the airport. The resto is generous in the ingredients and you know the food is made with love ( as stated in their menu--- they are family owned and proud Ilocano). There are no cupcakes when we dined but I tried their cheese candy and polvoron and those are great as well. They serve service water. We tried their supreme lugaw (bagnet, egg, and tokwa topped in lugaw) and lasagna. Like I said we dined during lunch and went back when it is jampacked in the afternoon but still the taste is consistent. I must try when you are in Ilocos. They have a branch in Puregold as well but it is near to their main branch in Laoag (they do not serve some other items in Puregold branch so we returned in the main branch which is walking distance as well. Supreme lugaw regular is --60 I think, Lasagna ---120 and Four flavored sakto sized (which is good for two) is around 275 I think.

They have a simple menu. I love the way the food is prepared because it is home made. The pizza and pasta are perfect. The place is small but cozy with a garden/ kubo, it gives you a homey feeling. Surely be coming back to this place when there 's a chance.

My family is addicted to their pizza carbonara. It's better than any fast food chain pizza. I always buy it for pasalubong when I go out of town and visit relatives

See and Eat at C&E Pizza Pasta in Laoag City

Conservative and thrifty. Hardworking and sturdy. These are qualities that define Ilocanos, the north-west inhabitants of  provinces in Luzon, the Philippines. In Laoag City, capital of Ilocos Norte, there is one quaint restaurant founded by Estelita Caluya, and now managed by her youngest daughter, Candy-- who as  she was growing up never showed her acumen in the kitchen nor the daring-do of an entrepreneur- that has been around for close to three decades: C&E Pasta Pizza Pastry.

C&E Pasta Pizza Pastry has been serving pizza, pasta and pastry, these Western food  but localized as comfort food raved and craved for by Ilocanos.  From its first home-based outlet, it has been patronized by its local and now increasing customers, including out-of-towners, in its five branches located in the city and in  nearby  Batac.

Its best seller ---its version of carbonara but on a pizza crust --together with Filipino favorite fried chicken, has emerged as hands-down comfort food across age-group. It has its own Bagnet-topped pizza, too!

Recently, to answer requests for more home food offering, C&E offered Lugaw (congee) with various toppings from simple hard-boiled egg to the  bagnet (deep-fried pork belly), in servings huge but with eater-friendly prices.

From the famous  and mighty of the city, to the average Joes,  they buy and repeat-buy  various pizzas, pastas, with pancit palaabok, with all the trimmings, squid, crunchy bagnet flakes. tinapa (dried fish flakes), and more. They swear by its consistency. Plus, with serving portions to satisfy the craving of one or of a barkada (group of friends) or even family, with pocket-friendly prices, there is no reason why it's not going to be  a winner!

It also offers a line of pastries, from  decadent food-for-the-God's, pastry tarts, cupcakes, cookies and brownies, that are  baked as if these were asked of mom. Delicious!

With Candy's sister, Amie, handling C&E's pastry and cakes, it also offers specialty cupcakes and cakes. A baking whiz, she uses buttercream as icing with the deft and artistry of a national (cake) artist. Being innovative, she has many more variants that will give their clients new dessert choices, from salted caramel to rich, cheese-cake, to original recipes like creamy cheese cake, and cheese pie!

Certainly, for those touring Laoag City, to enjoy its sights, visit and  go to C&E Pasta Pizza Pastry, one branch behind the Capitol building along Luna Street, is a good venue,  and savor what to the Ilocanos have been a prized and well-patronized restaurant, able to hold its own despite many trying to compete with it.

See and eat, at C&E Pizza Pasta Pastry and any one's visit to Ilocos Norte is made more delectably, a memorable experience.

One burps, before saying, Bravo!
