Amidst the majestic forts and the opulent palaces of Rajasthan,Churu seems to have fallen off the tourist map of the state.
It’s aptly described as the gateway to the Thar.
The crumbling havelis and the “johras” reminiscent of the era long lost in the archives of history...
Malji Ka Kamra is an astonishingly beautiful property, meticulously restored to its old grandeur. The haveli rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated.
The staff here is warm, welcoming and ever willing to go that extra mile to make your stay comfortable....
The food served is lip-smackingly delicious(Ker-Sangri was awesome!)
Lal Singh ji with his immense knowledge of the region gives an informative and accurate insight about the heritage of Churu and the adjoining areas.
We were impressed by the high-tea on the sand-dunes arranged by the team Malji. It was a wonderful way to unwind in the evening after haveli-hunting the entire afternoon.

To put it succinctly,Malji ka Kamra is the place to stay,if visiting Churu!

We stopped by for lunch and ended up having the best meal of our trip! The gatta ka sabzi was amazingly soft and was cooked in true Rajasthani style, as was the ker sangri. The hotel is very charming and the service was warm and attentive even though we were there only for a meal. My only regret is that we did not spend a night or two here.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your kind words and taking time to share your feedback for benefit of future travelers. Fooding is certainly a huge focus at Malji Ka Kamra as there can be no Marwari house where Food is a 2nd priority.

As a concept hotel seeking to highlight the beautiful Marwari heritage and distinctive culture, it is paramount and I am really happy that it was the best meal on your trip!

We hope you will be back in our region at some point and would make MKK your base for a few nights.

Kind Regards,
Deepak

Alas we visited this spectacular Haveli just for lunch.
It was so beautiful and set in lovely gardens. We were visited big The Chattris of Ramgarh and Shani temple near by so this was an ideal time pace for a break
Food was delicious, we choose all vegetarian and service excellent

Malji ka Kamra is nowhere what I'd expected of it. We were a grp of girls travelling together. Each one had a huge room with beautiful décor!! The rooms were clean and the staff very friendly & helpful. The manager of the hotel, a very kind lady, does her best to make you feel comfortable & at home.
Last but not the least, a very safe place for single girl travellers !

Dear Guest,

Pleasure to know that you had a wonderful stay and felt at home. This is what we are attempting to do while offering you everything that you need to be comfortable. This is what Marwari hospitality is about.

India is generally a safe place for women travelers to be honest, but of course, as our guests we make it a point to be around, give you the right advises while knowing when it is best to let you have your own space.

Thank you for having a great time with us and we look forward to your recommendations.

Regards,
Deepak

This place has a lot of charm. Churu is a smaller city but worth while for a short stop when touring Rajasthan. The Malji Ka Kamra is a historic hotel that used to house some of the cities most distinguished visitors. Management changed recently and they are trying hard to please the guests. Staff is very friendly and speaks good English, Service is efficient. Do not expect a renovated product; it is authentic and has a lot of charm; the rooms are simple but clean. we can definitely recommend the place.

Room Tip: Front view rooms are the best (overlooking the garden)

Dear Guest,

Thank you for taking time out to first visit us and also for sharing your feedback with future guests. I am glad that you had a good time and were well taken care of.

I am unsure how you got the impression that "management" has changed recently, because it hasn't. The place has seen its share of history, no doubt, and has its special place in locals' memory. But since we restored it and started hosting guests in 2013, we have been running it from family and there has never been any outside management. I presume you might have misunderstood it for something else.

Thank you for your recommendations. We hope you had a wonderful time in India as a whole and we look forward to host you again for a repeat visit.

Regards,
Deepak
