Description: Graycliff Restaurant's cuisine epitomizes elegance in the finest continental and Bahamian tradition with a menu that is both tasteful and distinctive. The secret recipes at Graycliff have set its reputation in the hallmark of the rich and famous. Creative culinary innovation has resulted in a variety of sumptuous dishes that is distinctly its own. Bahamian dishes have been creatively transformed into sophistication and refinement with the end result being an international reputation for Bahamian cuisine. Your evening at the restaurant begins as you sink into the depths of a sofa in the parlor with its sophisticated high ceilings and tranquil feeling. Within moments you will peruse the menu, while one of the bar waiters tends to your favorite cocktail. Having placed your dinner order, when your appetizers are ready, you are then escorted to your table to enjoy your meal. PLEASE NOTE WE HAVE A DRESS CODE: ELEGANT (GENTLEMEN MUST WEAR LONG PANTS). The restaurant has five air-conditioned dining rooms. Each room has a special allusion to the era when Graycliff was a private home from the Library to the Gallery, where the family would retire after dinner to play cards.Following dinner you are invited to once again relax and enjoy the rest of your evening with an after-dinner cognac or cigar and live grand piano music every night. Wines, Cognacs, Armagnacs and Ports Graycliff's Wine Cellar is world renowned and the wine list has won the prestigious Wine Spectator Grand Award since 1988. The wine cellar has an inventory of over 250,000 bottles from over 400 vintners in 15 countries. Ask the sommelier for a tour of the wine cellar. In addition to the considerable wine inventory, Graycliff also boasts one of the largest selections of Cognacs, Armagnac, Port and vintage malt whiskys. We have a cognateque with a great number of museum pieces bottles. The Graycliff main house was built in 1740 by a reformed pirate. The breathtaking hand painted pool is the first one in the Bahamas and the ruins of the oldest church can still be seen. Graycliff also has a cigar factory on property, a cigar roller at night shows his art in the parlor. During the day a visit to our Chocolatier is a must and you can also take a chocolate complete tour of the factory.

We enjoy everything about the Gray Cliff. The staff is very welcoming and attentive. They give you an option of starting out in the parlor with cocktails and listening to the live music or going straight to your table for dinner. We enjoy the parlor and music. We were just in Nassau and made 2 visits in 4 days for dinner. The menu offers so many different types of food you can do Italian dish one night, go back the next for steak, then the next for Seafood. The service is on point. We would highly recommend the place. Thanks for taking care of us.

The lobster was very good. The desert was ok. The atmosphere was for me over the top. I don’t like it when I have 5people hovering. So Was it worth $250/person? Absolutely not.
You could get a lobster as good at the shacks by the bridge to Paradise island for $20, with friendly smile and without the obsequiousness.

This is an A++ restaurant from the cocktails in the lounge to the wine list and dinner and
dessert we had in the dining room. It’s like a step back in time when dining out was really special. You are treated as an honored guest not a customer.
The pianist/singer singing in the lounge and having our after dinner drinks was a perfect ending.

I am going to get right to the point with this review. I was so looking forward to dinner here, what a disappointment! Food was mediocre at best. We had stone crab appetizer 2 small claws, Tomahawk veal chop, and Filet Mignon, with asparagus, everything was well cooked, but just blase'. We had 1 shot of 1942 Don Julio that cost $72.00 yes that's right more than 1/2 the cost of a full bottle. Our bill ended up being $380, if everything would have been excellent maybe I wouldn't be writing this review, but in my opinion this restaurant is overated and overpriced... Past it's life expectancy.

So please understand I can afford just about everything I want, with that said I think this restaurant sees you coming. Party of six people no drinks only 3 appetizers and 6 main courses, 3 desserts. Wait for it...800$!

“Would you like a cigar sir or an after dinner drink?” God no how about cioppino that doesn’t feel like rubber?

Happy to pay for quality, and god knows I did in other places in the Bahamas.
