We are not very demanding, but this is VERY basic accommodations. We could count on our fingers everything in our room: 1 bed, 1 chair, 1 dresser, 1 bar of soap, etc. Yes, you have the basics, but nothing more. The wall air conditioner was loud, but necessary, as this end of the "bay" seems to receive very little breeze. The water is not inviting, as it has lots of turtle grass (but that is same every place here). Our outside photos of the hotel and beach look nice, but close up things are a bit sad. Beach furniture was a few plastic chairs, a couple of chaises, and one hammock. The "restaurant" is only open by prior arrangement, as the cook is called in. The innkeeper was very pleasant, and seems to be trying to turn this place around. But his assurance that we didn't need a car, and could ride a bike was not good advice for us. It is 2 miles from the "town", and 90 degrees + high humidity. We liked Little Cayman, but would not return here - and the price was no bargain.

If your looking for a quite location to enjoy some time in the sun the water and nature, this is it!
Great photography, fishing and wildlife viewing all outside the doorstep.
Friendly helpful staff and a great little cafe with great food.
If your looking for a 5 star resort with perfect rooms and all the amenities this is not the place for you.
The rooms are dated, and far from modern and perfect.

Sadly, we only booked one night on Little Cayman, but were fortunate to stay at Sunset Cove, We were greeted at the airport by David and given the "10 Cent Tour" on the 5 minute drive to the resort. Not fancy resort by any stretch, but it is clean, David is more than accommodating and was good enough to arrange a vehicle for us to hire to get around. Dinner at the Beach Bum Cafe was delicious. Had jerk (some local) fish with veggies and rice. Was fantastic...had more of a B&B feel as David was always available to help out. Would return in a heartbeat. Clean, not overly expensive and just a lovely location.

Dave the manager was very attentive and helpful. The Latina ladies are friendly and smiley. The hotel is the further than the other ones from the only shop in island but that was what we wanted tranquility!

It's in front of Owen island ! Bonus easy to kayak.

Sunset Cove was so relaxing. This place was quiet and serene with the most amazing beach right outside your door. You can lay in the hammock all day or snorkel and kayak in the cove for some more action. Dave the owner and Jesse the cook are awesome. We spent the week getting to know them. We all went night snorkeling together in the coolest little spot on the island. They are really friendly and make Sunset Cove special. Jesse cooked all the lobster and conch we harvested and she is amazing at what she does! This place is definitely the place to go if you are looking for something low-key. It's not a resort. It's small and the guests all hang out together which was my favorite part.
