I’ve been to Rackam’s many times over the years and it is really a Georgetown staple. It’s loved by both tourists and locals and sits right on the water in G-town. Rackam’s seems like a place that would ‘just be good for drinks’...but you’d be mistaken. This place is actually a really great spot for food! Try the Curry Cheese Fries. They will change your life!

We didn't expect to get fish and chips.... but it is a British Island after all! So glad we did, they made the best fish and chips I think I have ever had (and i'm married to a chef!!!!). The fish was perfectly lightly golden fried, lightly beer battered, and the fish itself was a nice white cut of fish (not cod or haddock... forgot what kind). Even the fries were wonderful. We were curious as to why there was a school of tarpon sticking close to our table. Our server showed us afterward.... as they get all the leftovers!!!! Apparently their Tarpon are raised on fried fish and french fries! It was fun to watch the entire school of fish go a bit crazy for fries. We walked to Rackams from the port (4 minute walk), they are at the end of the street past the stores to the wall that says "don't walk past here". So we stopped and ate instead.

Got to Rackams after a long day out on the water and enjoyed a wonderful sunset and good food and beverages. The service was good but the parking is a nightmare.
