We had our full of resort food and wanted to try some genuine local food. One of the hotel staff recommended Martha's and so we ventured there by rental car. The food was so good and you can taste the love put into it. Every entree comes with multiple sides, usually breadfruit, green banana mash, mac n cheese, and some veggies. The creole sauce can get quite spicy if you ask them to and since we really liked spicy we quite enjoyed it. The restaurant is outdoor so depending on time of day it can get a little hot.

This daytime only restaurant is on the road towards Sugar Beach. If you have a hire car, which I recommend most people to do in St Lucia, it is easy enough to fine just up the hill on the left after crossing the bridge. You may need to park on the side of the road.
There is a limited menu with a few appetisers and a selection of meat choices all served with the same accompaniments.
We ordered chicken wings to start and the fish and pork chop for mains.
We were disappointing with the wings as we only got 4 very small wings. Not worth the EC$20.
The main courses however were great, my pork chop in particular was huge and i requested a spicy sauce and that it was!. Lunch portions are big in St Lucia so I would recommend skipping the appetiser, especially considering its only EC$35.
They accept Visa & Mastercard (no AMEX) which is rare for local places.
Would I eat here again? Yes. Would I make a special effort to go there? Yes. If you are in the Soufriere area it's a must, especially if staying near sugar beach.

We stopped at Martha's Table for lunch after going to the Piton Falls. It was the best meal we had during our time in St Lucia. Traditional and delicious St Lucian food, definitely make sure you stop there if in St Lucia!

We stopped for lunch at Martha’s Tables on our way back to Sugar Beach. This was the best local food I had on the island. We met Martha and her daughter- they were the best hostesses. And the food!! You must try the Carribean style spicy chicken. It was delish! I highly recommend!!
