After hearing about the hotel from a friend and reading some positive reviews we booked a 4-days stay at Ginger Lily.
We enjoy small boutique hotels so Ginger Lily seemed perfect to us.
Upon our arrival we were impressed with the lobby and pool area. It is beautiful, cozy and well maintained. It is also quiet and with lots of trees and flowers. You can see all the rooms and their balconies. Everything looked inviting.
How confused we got when we were taken back outside of the lobby area towards the parking lot and found out that our room was there. It looked nothing like what we've seen in the pictures. I will come back to room 10. We refused to stay there and the manager was kind enough to move us to a smaller but much nicer room with a balcony with garden and pool view, like all the other rooms in the hotel.
Unfortunately, on the morning of our last night at the hotel, when we were about to leave to a sailing trip, the manager advised us that we had to move back to room 10. We had no choice so we move back to room 10. We had no hot shower that night or the following morning. The heater was not working. The hair dryer was not working. The night stand was not working. The bed was so unconfortable we couldn't sleep well that night. Terrible last day in beautiful St Lucia.
In general, if you have back issues or have trouble sleeping, the beds (including in the other room we stayed) are very unconfortable. If you are looking to rest from a busy life and like dark, cozy rooms, the upstairs rooms and room 10 all have ceiling openings so the rooms are bright and sunny early in the morning.
Even thought the hotel is beautiful, clean, with a good location, own parking lot and nice staff (the cleaning lady from the upstairs rooms is just a sweet, wonderful person) we would not stay there again.

Stayed for two weeks over Christmas and New Year. It's across the road (and across a car park) to the main beach which is fabulous. Lovely to be able to just walk there anytime to swim of of course for meals at Spinnakers restaurant. Another beauty of this small hotel is the proximity to a hige array of restaurants - all within a comfortable and easy walk.
The hotel is clean and simple and the rooms comfortable.
Hire a car and set out from Ginger Lily for day trips.

Room tip: we prefer upper floors

First impression was Wow! Beautiful first impression at the reception, then looking through to the pool and Balanise style courtyard.with lush vegetation. Cheryl greeted us very warmly and offered us a complimentary Rum Punch, very strong and welcomed. We stayed on the first floor room 7, very spacious room and bathroom. Lovely balcony with hammock overlooking the pool, though still very private.
Excellent Wifi coverage, good choice of film channels. Breakfast was continental, fruit salad, yogurt, toast, orange juice tea/coffee, adequate for us. You could purchase a full breakfast if desired. Very laid back, we spoke to a number of repeat customers, some who had returned as many as five times. Very peaceful and intimate place fab for honeymooners. One of our high points of this holiday was staying at this beautiful, small hotel.

Room tip: Most rooms are great, though the one near ground floor by the stairs has people walking past to go upstairs

We spent a week at the Ginger Lily at the end of January. We had a wonderful time. The room was much bigger than we thought it would be and the bathroom with it's walk in shower was just enormous! We had a first floor room, so our balcony was very private. The room had tea and coffee making facilities (topped up every day)with a sink and fridge. The bathroom had a hair dryer and soap and shampoo provided. The hotel is quite literally just across the road from the beach and about 10 minutes walk into Rodney Bay town. Free wifi, room cleaned every day, with a towel/flower design each day on the bed. The grounds were like a little oasis and were lovingly cared for each day. The breakfast was plenty, fresh fruit, yogurt, toast, fruit juice and tea or coffee. This is a hotel for independant travellers, very quiet, small, staff are there in the background if you need them, but you need to be able to do your own thing.

Room tip: we had room 5 and in our opinion, it was the best room. 1st floor rooms definately more private

I just visited the Ginger Lily and it's a gorgeous boutique hotel. The grounds are like a private tropical oasis. Small pool area but cute. Nice breakfast area too. The rooms are generous with nice touches and massive bathroom. I was very impressed with the room and high ceilings with ceiling fan and mosquito netting over the bed. That's if you don't prefer to use the air conditioning. I've been told that this property gets tons of repeat customers. Now I know why!
