This resort is a villa. Time share but allows for couples and family to enjoy a lovely vacation. Private pools and hot tubs available. Beach activities and Gym available. Lots of night life at the resort and different restaurants as well. Activities for children and well trained staff providing supervision of the kids so adults could have some free up time. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely serene views as well.

I was beyond surprised upon arrival at the Windjammer. Its a beautiful setting and excellent mid-sized resort. Our 2 bedroom villa was spacious and beautiful! The resort has plenty to do for kids aged 12 and 13. We chose the all inclusive package and were very happy with that. The food on the menu was very expensive, but you didnt have to worry about it with the package. The resort is not easily convenient to many restaurants so the package really was the way to go. Great water skiing onsite! The only downside to the resort was the customer service. I would rate that a 6 on a scale of 1-10. Very average. No one went out of their way and were not super friendly. However, I loved the size of the resort and the property its self. I would definitely go back again.

This is a lovely get away with really good staff who are warm, friendly and inviting...from the shuttle drivers (Gilbert and John) to the servers. I think that management has a great opportunity to further enhance the overall experience by spending some time in upgrading the facilities and processes. The beach is rocky in many areas and a few common areas need to be thoroughly cleaned and modernized. The beach towel policy may be great for expense control but is a real downer for vacationers with children- simple option, towel outlets near the beach aaaaand pool facilities. The Spa experience is 2nd to none...an absolute must do.

Honest- mixed review
We booked this holiday in February- my husband and his 2 teenage daughters and myself, it was celebrating a variety of things which we notified them in due cause, I wasn’t expecting champagne and roses- just as well, big fat 0! I also notified them of my disability issues as we had booked a premium villa with plunge pool, I had hoped for a hand rail as some of the villas had, we didn’t get this and they were unable to move us to one, then had to send the nurse when I slipped on dirty steps into the plunge pool.
We didn’t get the holiday we thought we had booked and paid for, it wasn’t all bad though, but because we had to raise a few issues( like the dirty pool, villa balcony door broken- therefore didn’t lock, no bug control.....) we wasted precious time trying to sort out issues and were made to feel like the moaning family when we should have been enjoying family time.

The villa had stunning views, and although simple met our needs, it just didn’t have the wow we thought it might!
5 restaurants- 3 open each evening, 2 open lunch time. Food at Jammers and Embers for lunch was by far superior to the evening meals which were bland and uninspiring-except for the flourless chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream was outstanding!
5 pools- 2 based up at the Italian restaurant, more like big plunge pools but good for cooling down, 1 at Hibiscus walk- small and tended to be used by those in that area. The last 2 was the main pool and the kids pool, both nice, steps in and reasonably clean every day, very limited sun beds, no parasols on the adult pool side and no shade, and it’s right on top of the restaurants so you could feel a bit self conscious sunbathing being overlooked by diners!
The beach is beautiful- the best selling point, clean, beautifully kept ,good sun beds, good parasols.

The spa was VERY over priced and you pay additional tax and surcharge on top of the prices, that said apart from the hike up to it, it’s nicely laid out, very calming and the therapists were very good.

All inclusive is the only way to go here, as it’s very expensive if you pay as you go, all inclusive was good value, however I would have pre stocked the fridge with some drinks and maybe fruit, all we got was 2 bottles of water for 4 of us, and 3 melon sticks for 4- I think this could be improved therefore giving you a better first impression.

Checking in and checking out is slow and painful- Caribbean time at its best!

The gardens are well kept, some of the villas are being updated- this means if the chain saw or the garden blower aren’t on, then the builders are hammering ! - this doesn’t carry down to the beach though, just in the villas!
They carry out bug fuming 3 times week- but its only done on the roads, you have to ask EVERY day for your room to be done, and check the mosquito net- ours had holes in which rather defeated the object!

It’s very hilly, but this is clearly advertised so you know before hand, the shuttles on the whole were great, although you can wait up to 40 minutes when they are busy. The shuttle drivers are awesome and really helpful.

I would not consider going here again, it was too commercial and did not live up to our family expectations- that said the beach and water sports were faultless and it could be a fabulous place with just a little thought and improved customer service.

We came here in June 2018 and had a spectacular experience! Overall, we were very pleased with our stay and the only reason I ranked the resort slightly lower than perfection was for two reasons: First, several of the nights there was LOUD live entertainment at one of the beach restaurants. The music carried quite high up to our room and was a little frustrating when trying to get to bed before 10 p.m. Second, some of the restaurants were just okay. The fancy steak and seafood place wasn't even open Friday night and other restaurants have weird hours too. The food was lackluster at the Italian restaurant and Firefly, the Caribbean themed one.

That being said, we LOVED the food at Jammers, the beach restaurant which was open everyday, and the other restaurant located on the beach for lunch, Embers. We were also very pleased with the Spa technicians. If you can get a private villa, as opposed to one of the condos, do it! Our villa happened to have a private infinity edge pool overlooking the ocean! It was a truly incredible and unforgettable experience!
