We decided to go to the restaurant because the grounds & setting of Blue Horizon seemed so appealing. We were impressed with the beautiful manicured property, view & outlay of the hotel. Seemed like a good start but it turned out looks can be deceiving...
It sadly was the absolutely worst restaurant experience we have ever had.
Painfully slow service & never any drink refills. We hoped the long wait for the food would be worth it. Wrong!!
Three of us ordered the same ahi tuna dish & all of us received an overcooked piece of fish that tasted fishy & awful. When we were asked how the food was by the gentleman who seated us there was an uncomfortable silence & we truthfully answered. He just said he would inform the kitchen & that was the end of it. Didn't even offer to make it right.
After that we were totally ignored as well. We finally had to ask for the check & if we thought that maybe we would receive a break on the bill we were wrong again. An expensive bad meal that literally left a bad taste in our mouths (pun intended).
We can't remember the last time not tipping but unfortunately if ever it was justified this was it.
