We decided to go to the restaurant because the grounds & setting of Blue Horizon seemed so appealing. We were impressed with the beautiful manicured property, view & outlay of the hotel. Seemed like a good start but it turned out looks can be deceiving...

It sadly was the absolutely worst restaurant experience we have ever had.
Painfully slow service & never any drink refills. We hoped the long wait for the food would be worth it. Wrong!!
Three of us ordered the same ahi tuna dish & all of us received an overcooked piece of fish that tasted fishy & awful. When we were asked how the food was by the gentleman who seated us there was an uncomfortable silence & we truthfully answered. He just said he would inform the kitchen & that was the end of it. Didn't even offer to make it right.

After that we were totally ignored as well. We finally had to ask for the check & if we thought that maybe we would receive a break on the bill we were wrong again. An expensive bad meal that literally left a bad taste in our mouths (pun intended).
We can't remember the last time not tipping but unfortunately if ever it was justified this was it.

Considering it was the only place near the Blue Horizon, the food was good. The service is slow, but that is typical of many restaurants in Puerto Rico. They do have interesting selections on the menu and the mofongo was good. The pina colada is definitely very good and worth the price. The view of the ocean and its surroundings were exceptional.

The evening was just perfect, it started with the breathtaking view. The dinner was excellent and the servings were large. We had to get a doggie bag! The staff was attentive and friendly. We even enjoyed a few dances with the live entertainment. We will join you again next year for Valentines Day and thanks again for making it a memorable one.

It seems like the food was prepared in advance and left several hours to dry out until patrons arrived. Their ad in Vieques Magazine advertised a three-course meal to celebrate Valentine's Day accompanied by a glass of champagne No flute of champagne was served.

The food was not fit for human consumption; it belonged in a garbage can. There was a 20% tip added to our bill. A tip is something you add because the food was delicious and the service was great, both unusually bad.

I would never, never eat there again and would recommend to anyone that I meet in Vieques to avoid that place.

I made a reservation that day for our Anniversary and when we arrived they had set flower petals, candles and flowers all over our corner table making it a special romantic evening...Thanks Geysha for the decor. Our server JP was very attentive and gave us great service througout our delicious dinner. We had ribs that the meat just fell off the bone, beef tenderloin and the catch of the day, Red Snapper. The wine and chocolate dessert were perfect! I loved loved the service, JP and Geysha thank you so much!!! Will definitely come back.
