First time on the island, thought it would be more convenient to dine at where we stayed. Seafood portion was small, and the steak was not cooked to the temperature requested- had to send that back. The view and waitress was nice, but the bill was outrageous. Din for 2 was nearly $200. They were short on staff, and the only one that smiled at us is our waitress.

Just got back from Vieques. Trade winds Restaurant was excellent for breakfast! Best place for a gourmet breakfast with a view. Great food, great service and atmosphere. Oh yes and prices were fair for service and selection. Wish they were open for dinner! I don't know why not... but go by Lizzy's Lunch Box (food cart in Esperanza) for lunch. Lizzy is the chef at Trade Winds! She's a New York transplant and professionally trained Gourmet Chef! Now she makes incredible tacos on the beach! Just go try her fish tacos! You'll buy a second or third...

Great selection for breakfast on weekends.lobster Benedict!!!!
Delicate and an interesting menu items cooked to perfection . Food and atmosphere make for a delightful evening on the patio overlooking the water. I found it to be a romantic spot whether you're single or with a group of people

A bit on the expensive side, but well worth it. We had a great seafood dinner. Staff was nice and service was prompt. Best spot we ate at the whole trip!

Tradewinds has a long standing positive reputation. I was very disappointed with the menu and the yellow snapper. The location is great and the service is good and maybe breakfast and lunch are better. I'd skip dinner.
