The people make this hotel special. The manager helped me set up a birthday surprise without even meeting me and everything was perfect. The staff even sans happy birthday. They really made us feel welcome and we loved it. The property is small but beautiful and I would return in a heartbeat. They have a lovely private sandy beach on the property and a plunge pool in almost every room. A very romantic setting. Recently refurbished hotel in pristine condition. Definately highly recommended.

We went to the Trident with our 4 children over the New Year break and had an amazing time. It is a small place with small staff so we got to know the team. Everyone was great but extra extra special thanks to Shanique who helped us plan special side trips and excursions to Frenchman’s Cove and the Rio Grande and to Boston for delicious jerk; The beautiful Trudy, in restaurant who arranged all kinds of special meals so for us, Byron at the bar, and of course the wonderful lifeguards Akeem and Arthur at the beach. They made the trip an 11 out of 10. Akeem would accompany my adventurous 14 year old and 11 year snorkeling and paddle boarding while I stayed back on the beach with my other children. I completely trusted him. They taught us how to play cricket and even made a special bat for our 6 year old out of a palm tree in case the normal bat was too heavy. These two never sat down but went above and beyond to make sure everyone was safe but beyond that having a great time. Be it our crazy family or the couples just relaxing with a drink and a book, Arthur and Akeem made sure everyone was well attended to. The beach itself is small but beautiful. It is a good spot for families with young children because the calm shallow part is roped off but of course anyone is welcome to be as adventurous as they want. The Trident is not the place to go if you are looking for jet skis and casinos but if it is luxury, peace and truly beautiful setting you seek the Trident is the perfect destination.

The place: If you want privacy, seclusion, luxury...the this is the place!

The people: The staff, from the moment we arrived to the moment we left, from the front of house to the behind the scenes, front the front desk to the management...these are the people! 10/10 to Dwight and Shernette, but all excellent!

The room: we had Villa 10, furthest out front of the rest, everything you could want, cool furniture, spotlessly clean...only thing I could add (never asked for it but am sure the staff would have run into town and bought one for me) is an espresso machine.

The lifeguards: both are great, Arthur in particular, trust him with my life and wife, patient and gentle.

The trip: 2.5 hrs by car from Kingston Town, but perfectly comfortable, you get to see the country side, and if you get Raymond, he’s a blast!
