Check-in was ok, but I didn't like the fact that they disclosed dress code rules upon check-in only and not in the email reservation. I mean what if the guests brought clothes that don't fit the code (aka no sleeveless when all the clothes I brought were sleeveless)? They should be informed ahead of time so they can bring proper attire.
Rooms are super old school like 80's-90's feel and could use a renovation. It's actually ok- not too bad except that for the price, I expected more. Places like these usually go for much less. Their towels look about a decade old so if you are sensitive with your towels, bring your own. I just used them anyway since I'm not too fuzzy but I did notice they looked like nearing the end of their usable life.
Wind was a bit strong and went brownout. Waiting for the generator felt like an awful long time considering I was alone and scared after watching horror stuff. It isn't automatic. I called front desk and they told me engineers were still turning it on. Food is a bit on the pricey side. For the price we paid, no free breakfast. One thing to note here is you cannot have food deliveries inside during the time their restaurants are open so we can only order before 8am and after 8pm. Otherwise, you have to go to the gate and pick it up from the rider.
Overall it's an ok place if you get it at a really really good deal. Otherwise, you can find newer resorts for the same if not cheaper rates. There isn't much to do except use the pool. Frankly, I don't see any reason to come back here, at least in the near future.
