We made an on-the-spot reservation through Agoda after learning that Villa Escudero was fully-booked last weekend.
(+) Pros
- The place is really huge! It has a golf course within, so imagine how big the entire place is.
- It’s strategically located along the main road, so you couldn’t miss it (it is waze-able)
- The hotel offers lots of activities (e.g. fishing, golf, trampoline, KTV, biking, tennis, badminton, basketball etc. all comes with an additional cost)
- Their staff are courteous & approachable
- Though the place looks old and its facilities are outdated— it is clearly well-maintained.
- They offer free shuttle service for guests with no car (you just need to coordinate it with the folks at the lobby)
- The place is really quiet, you can hear the birds chirping while relaxing near the pool area
- Views are perfect!
(-) Cons
- Room rate seems a little high considering its outdated facilities.
- No free breakfast. I would have to agree with most of the reviews here, price of breakfast is a bit steep for its quality and serving size. (P450 for American bfast, P350 for Pinoy bfast— both with free coffee, + P60 for Hot choco upgrade). We opted to dine out for dinner and lunch.
- Restaurant staff were all busy and pre-occupied with their ‘golfer’ clients. It took us a while to get someone’s attention to obtain a copy of their menu....We made an on-the-spot reservation through Agoda after learning that Villa Escudero was fully-booked last weekend.

- There is a dress code in their restaurant. Slippers, sleeveless shirts etc. are not premissible.
- Check in/out causes inconvenience. Guests need to check in and out at the golf country club— the suites are usually situated in a different area. So even if we have our own car, we find it inconvenient to go here just to surrender the key after checking out. Why cannot we just surrender the room key to the staff who typically audits the room before check out?
- I found it hard to drive around the area due to lack of road signs.
