I’ve just returned from another wonderful holiday in Bali. This is the 4th time I’ve been in 2 years and although the media reported that it was dangerous due to the recent Vulcanian activity, it was Safe!!
My holiday company who I’d originally booked with cancelled less than 24 hours from when I was due to depart and offered me alternative holidays, but I couldn’t imagine anywhere else I wanted to be other than my beautiful paradise island of Bali. So I did it independently and contacted the hotel direct who were so helpful and were only to happy to confirm a room and booked the flights.
Another wonderful stay at Sol Beach House, the suite was great and could see the sea from my balcony. Very clean and comfortable. Great to see all the staff who all welcomed me back and couldn’t do enough to make my stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Food was excellent.
Took a wonderful tour with Wayan from Dogs Bollocks Tours (who you will find details of on the beach by the water sports hut, between Sol Beach House & Bali tropic) to the Vulcano and had an excellent lunch overlooking the rice terraces and Vulcano at Mahagiri Restaurant and meet the owner Made who was very hospitable and friendly and showed me his photos of the Vulcano. Had another wonderful holiday and can’t wait to get back to my beautiful paradise island.

Just spent 8 days at Sol Beach House Benoa booked online with Agoda always offering extra discounts via promo codes so excellent price , we did All inclusive silver package Gold not worth the extra money , Blue doesn't offer enough , 24 hour restaurant , good menu choice , buffet breakfast very good variety , dine inside or out staff could not be faulted only to happy to serve , also they have a coffee shop and bar , nice room with balcony coffee tea making , Big swimming pool with bar , right on the beach , we had clothes laundered every day as part of silver package all meals drinks entertainment all covered , arranged transport from airport and to the airport though the hotel , they do have a tour desk but probably better off to see the fella across the road who offers taxi service hire him for the day negotiate a fair price which seems to be around 500,000 rupee a day , don't advise blue bird taxi or any taxi that's blue a ripoff my experience , Bali collection for shopping is worth a look don't expect a bargain you won't get one they offer a shuttle service from the hotel for free , I do recommend going to a place called Hardys at NusaDua not far from the hotel if you want to buy clothes , souvenirs etc at local prices you will need a taxi the roads not exactly safe no footpaths again see the fella across the road for taxi he will take you and most likely wait and take you back about 100,000 rupee confirm the price before as they don't have metres , very quiet hotel and location .

The accommodation was good, as a family (all adults), we occupied a number of rooms and they were all spacious, clean and comfortable, the family suites are particularly spacious offering lounge and dining areas. The beds were comfortable, the linen was good quality and the housekeeping staff were efficient.
Food was good, there were only two restaurants open during our stay (only one on Mondays) but there was plenty of options on the menu for a two-week stay and we didn't have a poor meal at all. Service was sometimes a little slow, especially with basics like filling water glasses, but some of this could have been due to a large conference using the restaurants whilst we were there (often wandering in and out of the restaurants and changing the size of their tables at will) causing a huge strain on the waiting staff. We also used room service which was served hot and extremely quickly.
The facilities were good for the size of the hotel. The pool was big enough and deep enough to swim in, the beach was fine (not very big but adequate) there were daily demonstrations and various activities you could join in with, there were also some water boards that you could borrow and bicycles too.
The staff were exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble, they smiled continuously, they are easily the hotel’s best asset. Special mention to the lovely lady who appeared to run the ‘front of house’ from reception and also to the pool barman, both of whom seemed to know everyone by name.
We had the ‘gold’ package and availed ourselves of the laundry service and the extra dishes on the menus that were part of our package. We didn't feel the need to reserve sunbeds (although the package included this service) because the hotel was not overfull and it seemed a little unnecessary, however, it’s a great option for when the hotel is busy. We use the hotel spa but also the spa over the road called Misels, this was much more reasonably priced with almost all services costing around £6 an hour. The road is very busy but the staff at the entrance happily stop the traffic to allow you to cross safely.
There was a market right next to the hotel, it was very quiet (volcano was being a little grumpy which was affection tourism) which made the staff holders a little aggressive unless they are always like that. Instead of increasing sales it had the opposite effect on us, they didn't want us to browse and were constantly offering alternatives, we did want to purchase but left with practically nothing as we felt hassled.
We had a day out with Wayan, who appears to work from the hut on the beach where you book the water sports. He was highly cheaper than the tour reps prices and allowed us to dictate the pace of the day and the things we wanted to see, we would recommend chatting with him about what you want to see.
We would recommend the hotel, it’s a lot smaller than the hotels we normally stay in but we quite enjoyed the intimacy it offered to the holiday.

Recently returned from 11 night stay on an all inclusive basis booked through Hayes & Jarvis. We had upgraded to a gold beach junior suite with ultra inclusive. The room was huge and as shown on the website. We were on the second floor opposite a number of rooms being repaired/renovated which did cause a certain amount of noise during the day. We did request to be moved to a ground floor room away from the noise. The staff were extremely helpful and after two nights we were moved to a very well positioned room on the ground floor ( number 8206). The hotel is small and well maintained.
The staff were friendly and did their utmost to ensure we had a delightful time. The food was mainly buffet but you could order off the main menu which was quite extensive. Being gold we could order the more expensive dishes without paying extra. Again being gold and I believe even the silver guests were able to take advantage of free laundry service which worked well. Entertainment was varied and on most nights. The swimming pool was kept immaculate by the pool staff despite the leaves and flowers which were falling most of the time. The lagoon was superb and had received a well deserved award. What can I say. I would most definitely recommend the hotel. Sadly due to the distance from the U.K. we will probably not be in a position to return. However a big thank you goes to all the staff for making it a wonderful experience.

The best holiday we have ever had!! Our room was spacious and clean. The staff and service was amazing. The occasional light rain did not bother us at all as we were in the pool most of the time. The food was above standard and the evening entertainment a delight.
