My wife and I had a very nice stay at Chachagua. The bungalows were really nice and nestled into the gardens providing privacy. They have some really nice trails in the rainforest around their property that you can go explore on your own (they don’t really promote this for some reason). The food was decent, I’d rate it a solid B, but the staff were really nice and helpful. We did a night tour and saw the Costa Rican red-eye frog, their tiny glass frogs and a small snake. The warm pools were really nice to come back to after a full day of hiking through the nearby parks and forests. Overall, I’d definitely go back to this property.

Room tip: Bring flashlights, the property is not brightly lit in the night time.

My husband and I stayed at the Rainforest bungalow and it was perfect! The lushness of the rainforest surrounds you as soon as you enter the grounds with ample wildlife such as toucans and agoutis. The restaurant at Chachagua was a perfect meet-up spot with our visiting family during our 2-night stay. We enjoyed the guided hike and morning yoga session. During the guided hike, we even had the opportunity to press our own sugarcane into a delicious drink (rum included if you would like!). Between the activities, gorgeous hot springs, and stellar restaurant, Chachagua Rainforest Hotel & Hot Springs was one of our favorite accommodations. Nearby, in the town of La Fortuna, you can find many activities including zip-lining and horseback riding on the slopes of Arenal Volcano to complete your Costa Rican adventure!

We stayed in a 2 bedroom 2 bath villa with it's own pool. The pool is not large but great to just lounge in for a bit. It's heated and the outdoor area was wonderful. The staff was so friendly and accomodating. The grounds are very pretty with a couple of walking trails. You see beautiful flowers and what can beat seeing a toucan in a tree at breakfast. We did not eat any meals there just the breakfast which was fine for us.
Our unit also had an outdoor double head rain head shower which was cool. Our only mild criticism was the sound insulation between the rooms was minimal and we could hear the others in our group pretty easily. Otherwise would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Room tip: 2 bedroom villa with pool is a treat

Stayed at this magnificent place literally built into the rain forest. All aspects of service and hospitality were spot on. The property is stunning, including the natural hot springs. It was so much fun to hike the property as well as relaxing in the springs. The restaurant was beautiful and integrated into the forest. The flora and fauna were awesome. Highly recommend

Room tip: Allow adequate time to get anywhere, as it is a bit remote

We stayed one night at the hotel and wish we could have stayed more but they were booked. Our party was 2 couples & we stayed in what they call family rooms There are two adjoining rooms with separate baths. These rooms were modern & luxurious:#301&302. So many wonderful things to say but I want to do a shout out to Hector who greeted us & showed us the facility up check-in & ended with a welcome drink at the bar/hot springs pools. Additionally guides Jonny & David who lead us on a 10am hike of the property which culminated in chopping sugar cane & making lemonade with mandarin lemons & basil from the garden. We learned so much about the flora & fauna. They made the stay even more memorable than the fantastic rooms. Also the food in the dining room was delicious. Waiters could have been a little more attentive but it really did not mare the experience.
