We visited this restaurant which has a great interior and started with a salad which was fresh and excellent. Then we ordered the pasta. Neither the tagliatelle con carciofi nor the spaghetti with a special type of vongole were convincing, on the contrary, they were cooked in a vegetable broth that tasted very strange and the pasta was almost inedible. However, we went through the meal, but, our Italian neighbours gave theirs back. The service was perfect, but cooking needs to improve.

Not many customers on that weekday for lunch. Nice welcome and kind and efficient service. The waiter helped to translate the menu.

We opted for a seafood platter and pasta with black truffle as starters, followed by pigeon and osso bucco as second dishes. Everything was excellent. Reasonable portions.

Excellent deserts. Cost for two with two glasses of wine, coffee: 130EUR.

We visited this lovely restaurant on our recent visit to Vicopisano. The food was devine, it's a real foodies place to eat. It's a bit more pricey but well worth it for a special occasion or culinary experience. Loved eating in the garden, it was beautiful. Would I go back, without a doubt!!!

Sunday evening, we were desiring a meal and some quiet time.... found Osteria Vecchia Noce, off the normal roads. Behind what appeared to be a old mill of some sort covered with vines all the way to the roof, two floors high. we parked in a graveled area about 100 yards from were an arrow pointed to 'Noce' noticing an opening in the high brick wall. Turning the corner into the courtyard, we entered a beautiful garden setting. With large , very large canopies over top of white clothed tables with flowers and candles. Strung lights crossing the expansive garden. What a setting, beautiful! We were greeted by a waiter who laughed as he said he could struggle with English....so much better than our Italian. we were seated under a separate Gazebo that had sheer drapes... and the evening began. The wine selection was very good we choose several 1 white 1 red after explaining the menu we ordered . I had first a light pasta with a white sauce and mussels (pre shelled) delicate, savory next a salad with assorted olives in oil and reduced balsamic , perfect. A small portion of light battered veal with figs and pears.....next stuffed zucchini blossoms. Along with the breads, wines and A very different Tiramisu and last a topper of sambuca .....the others all had different offerings ...all so very good...you must go there when in the Pisa area

Excellent service, great menu with a wide variety of choice, really enjoyed the food from starters through to desserts.
Pleasant surroundings at the edge of the village.
