We we went at dusk and the area was relatively empty of tourists even though we were there on July 3rd. This is a beautiful park and really want to go back and see even more. Next time out west we will make it to even more.

Memories of a lifetime. This place is amazing, so much to see, hiked to the emerald pools. Jaw dropping views and awe inspiring nature at it's best. Some hikes are very challenging and do require patience and the trails get crowded and people are very rude!

Beautiful park. Ruined by the amount of tourists that go in peak season. We waited an hour in a line to get on the shuttle to arrive at the hiking entrance to Observation Point. We camped 10 minutes outside of the park, woke up at 6:20am, skipped breakfast and coffee, and we didn't begin our hike until 10am. This is insane!

This park was the culmination of a 8 National Park camping roadtrip and we enjoyed EVERY SINGLE PARK we hiked in... except this one. A victim of it's success, but it was literally SWARMING with people, most of whom are not hikers, and it just ruined the atmosphere for us (fit, regular hikers and back-country campers who don't like hiking with speakers or loud-talkers).

Don't go during peak or even pre-peak season. I head November is the best time. Call the park and ask the rangers when they get the least amount. Go then :)

If you can, try to reserve a back country pass, hike in at sunset (avoid lines), and the next day, avoid as many popular trails and lines and shuttle-bus crowds as possible.

Every National Park offers something amazing and Zion is no different. With every turn of the road the views are just stunning. Unlike the Grand Canyon Zion offers a much more "hands on" experience. You can hike or ride the shuttle through the park and also visit the little town at the one end for lunch dinner or shopping. We hiked the Watchman trail and had a wonderful time. Views are picture worthy at every step. Like all parks the earlier you arrive the more likely you'll find a place to park

Loved the park! Highly recommend staying at the lodge in the park. The convenience is awesome. The hikes were great and views were spectacular. Felt like the hiking guide was accurate and would recommend to anyone!
