The view here is stunning. It was a little hazy when we went, but it was still stunning. Definitely bring a jacket or coat. Gloves aren't a bad idea either. It was 70 plus degrees in Badwater, but at the view point it was 28 with a strong wind the day we went.

A must see if in the area. you drive a mile up the mountain side . You are on a paved road and it is not a hard drive but you must drive slow and you want to go slow to see all the wonders on the way up. (There is a toilet if needed near the top). There are lots of parking spaces and you can get out of car and just look all around. It is a paved area with a wall for safety. It you want to you can walk on the top of the mountain in two different directions. One way has black top and the other way you are walking on the mountain itself. I would recommend walked the mountain itself if you are physical able to. Unbelievable views.

Was our last stop in Death Valley NP = sunset was beautiful over the mountains. A very steep drive up to the view but worth it. Got cool towards sunset - and there is a great mountain to climb if you are up for it. Best spot for sunset viewing in the park

Although beautiful, I believe sunrise would be better lighting. Bring a jacket to the viewpoint, even if daytime temps are warm. As soon as that sun sets, the temp drops and the wind blows.
