Fun with different levels of art. Very interesting collections of art. Didn't go on the Ecology tour but did visit part of the garden. Very relaxing.

The BenCab Museum is a must when you go to Baguio City. When you are done with your walks around the city and done with your shopping, go and visit BenCab. See what's new in the museum and bathe in the rich culture of the north and appreciate the skills of the artists featured.

One of my friend recommend this place to visit. Since I’m looking for a new spot to go, I decided to tend this Museum. I took grab a taxi to go from Burnham to Museo and paid for Php 173.00(20minutes drive). As I arrived on the site, the receptionist ask me to pay for Php150.00 as a entrance fee. I was surprised because it is really costly and I don’t have choice because I was already there. We started to walk and look for the artworks and it was lovely and glamorous. The problem is no tour guide to usher you throughout the saunter. The building was petite and as you go on their garden many places you can’t enter because of a lot of signage(restricted area). Paying Php 150.00 on this small Museum was to expensive and not enjoyable. It was like a normal site with nothing exciting.

It was late to decipher the ticket that they gave it to us. On the docket it was written that the Php150.00 is for donation. (Thank you for your Donation this serves as your official receipt). I asked Naneth(the receptionist) on why we need to pay for the fee but written on ticket that it was for Donation. I told to her to explain to me and it was not really acceptable. Waited for long time to explain to me. They blaming BIR because they are the one who make and approve the ticket. I don’t even care the fee I paid but the tour was not good. Never ever recommend this Museum it was pricey and not attractive.

I have resided in Baguio for many years and remember Asin Rd when there was no buildings there at all. Finally we deceived to take a look at BenCab because of all the Rave reviews that we had heard before.
Certainly correct. The first thing to do there was to go to the 4th floor and take in the great views of the tropical jungle on the hillside opposite whilst sipping a great coffee. It took us around 4 hours to take on all the art and collected pieces. 2 hours before lunch at Happy Tummy next door, and 2 hours after lunch.
It was a great day, and leaving just in time to miss all the traffic. We rode a jeepney back to the city which were located at the town center (not where they dropped us off, up the hill just around the corner).
Be surprised, take the time to visit the museum, but not on the way somewhere, make a dedicated trip there add it will take some time to take it ALL in and do justice to your visit.
Enjoy.
