Good:
1. A good collection of local art (Ifugao)
2. A great place to visit with your family. Please! try to read the notes on the wall especially those about Ifugao. Let's appreciate our culture.
A bit far from the city.
I'm not an art expert but I appreciate places that showcase local talent. Bencab Museum is one of those. It's a three-story space filled with pieces that will amuse, interest or basically evoke some emotion from you — which is really what art is supposed to do, right? It's my first time to visit this place even though it isn't my first time in Baguio... and I wish I visited it sooner! Will definitely come back to check out new installations.
Philippine history through art...Amazing! They also serve good food. Maybe they should add some more stuff in their souvenir shop, like a mini-model of the art works.
BenCab Museum is a feast to the senses. I showcased all sorts of art from paintings to sculpures from different eras. My teenagers were in awe of the small and large sculptures with intricate details. There were also a love of beautiful paintings, some creepy, intriguing, disturbing but all beautifully done.
The regular entrance fee is P150.00 but they offer discounts to students and senior citizens. For student discounts, just present your valid student ID issued in the Philippines.
The P150.00 fee may seem steep but based on our visit it was all worth it especially when we went to the museum’s outdoor space at the back. The views of the garden, the pond, the landscape, and the lush green mountains were breathtaking. We took a lot of beautiful photos.
Never leave Baguio without visiting BenCab Museum.
This is a bit far from the city. A good place fir those people who's interested in arts. Aside from the sculpture and painting, there's a restaurant and trail that you can go to. Nice scenery.
I guess some artists were born with a silver spoon on their mouth. The place really spells an expensive touch of art. The place is like a mansion where you can unwind and explore your artistic nature. Perfect for students who want to free their minds and unravel the beauty and meaning behind every piece of art.
