Would recommend this hotel and would stay again

We stayed here as the first leg of our Japan trip. The common spaces are incredibly clean and well maintained. The room was clean, a good size for Asia (I have heard/read they tend to be small, seemed fine for the 2 of us) and well appointed, with a hairdryer and toiletries. The view was almost breathtaking from the 28th floor. The staff were very friendly and we had no issues communicating (people on here that complain that staff at hotels don’t speak enough English are literally the worst, ITS JAPAN, use google translate or stay home). The elevator moved quickly, the luggage forwarding through Yamato was easy and the breakfast was good. We never waited long for a table, some mornings we got sat a great view and they had plenty of both western and Asian options. The hotel is part of the southern terrace structure, so there’s a promenade with a few little restaurants (Eggslut, shake shack, Starbucks, etc) and some boutique shopping attached. It’s also about a 3 minute walk to Shinjuku station. The station is the biggest in Tokyo and possibly Japan and we found it difficult (although not impossible) to navigate compared to others. A tip: about a 5-7 minute walk the other direction is Yoyogi station and it was smaller, less busy and easy to navigate. Use google maps to route where you’re going and see if you can use that station instead when possible. There’s also restaurants and things down that way. The hotel having a 7-11 downstairs was handy but it closed kind of early, but there are family marts and Lawson’s toward the Yoyogi station.

Room Tip: Use Yoyogi station when possible

This is a super modern hotel, reception on floor 20 and rooms above that so the view from our 27th floor room was excellent. This was the most western hotel of over 10 we stayed at in Japan, and we especially appreciated being able to check in around 12.30, which is unheard of in some other hotels. The room, breakfast and reception service were all efficient and well done. Would recommend as the location is really handy for many of the neighbourhoods around shinjuku plus a stones throw from the station itself.

Have stayed at this hotel numerous times over the past 15 years. It is close to a large train station, and restaurants The rooms are on the small size but comfortable. Nice room views, plentiful breakfast buffet. Great shower, good storage space in the room. Staff is helpful and service is very prompt 😊

Loved this hotel. Great location right in the centre of Shinjuku, the most fantastic views from the rooms and dining room. Rooms were soooo good, so quite loved our time there. Beds were really comfortable and breakfast presented a huge assortment of of choice Only problem was finding reception which was on the 20th floor

Room tip: Go for the highest room for the best view anything around floor 33

Great location, near both Shinjuku station and Yoyoji station. Many restaurants, convenient stores nearby. There's a 7-11 just downstairs, you can withdraw cash there too.

Great view, we even saw mount Fuji from our room one morning (we stayed for more than 10 days). Also great view from the breakfast restaurant.

Daily high quality housekeeping. Amenities in the room get restocked every day.

Elevator from street to lobby and then walk through the lobby to another elevator for going up to room. Staff are always very busy at the reception, but when they're not, they do greet you, which is nice.

Breakfast is good. But I do have two complaints: it's exactly the same every single day, even the fruit. After a week, I didn't even want to go anymore. A bit of change and variety would be appreciated. And breakfast finishes too early, basically we need to finish eating at 10am. I understand that staff need time to prepare for lunch setting, but even if it's a half hour extension, it'd be appreciated by the guests who are holidaying.

Light blocking curtains, very quiet, if you're looking for a place to recover from jetlag, look no further.

Good size room with a king size bed and a long sofa chair by the big window. I heard rooms in Japan are small so I think this one really is a good size. Bedsheets aren't very soft though, could use some improvement. Pillows are too soft, not enough options.

Staff are very helpful, they helped us to store our suitcases, answered all our questions. Will happily stay here again.

Room tip: Shinjuku is a very busy and major station. Yoyoji is not. So sometimes trains don't stop at Yoyoji (for example the express ones).
