Description: Ippudo, our ramen restaurant, was first established in 1985 in Hakata, Fukuoka. Currently in 2017, we have over 100 stores throughout Japan. In 1990, our founder, Shigemi Kawahara, entered the Hall of Fame for winning the the ramen competition of the show, "TV Champion" three consecutive times. Then in 2005, he gained the title "Noodle King" after coming in 1st in the "Largest Ramen Competition in History to Decide the Noodle King". In 2008, our first store outside of Japan was opened in New York. Now, we have stores in London, Paris, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Sydney, and in other countries all around the world, totaling 60 stores. Ippudo is the force driving the global ramen fever. We innovate and build the "global standard of ramen shops" all over the world by ensuring not only our delicious tasting ramen but also our great service and atmosphere. We will continue to share our authentic tonkotsu ramen, that we have pursued to the highest quality, throughout the world.

I've been to Kansai and even tasted authentic Hokkaido miso ramen in Sapporo but Ippudo is one of the best modern-style ramen joints I've ever tasted. Ordered the Tonkotsu ramen and it was to die for! The Hakata style pork broth and noodles were mouth watering. Better than the Ippudo branches back here in the Philippines. A MUST GO TO ramen joint!

yes, Ippudo is the best ramen in Tokyo! we've been to some tonkotsu ramen shop as recommended by some of food bloggers, but Ippudo Ebisu served the best of the best tonkotsu ramen!!

It was Monday 7pm when we reached there (only 5mins walk from Ebisu station), and we didnt have to queue at all. Menu was given once we were seated. 1-2 of the staffs speak good English. Once the ramen came, the staff would give you a wide & big napkin to be tied onto your neck (so the soup would not stain your cloth).

I had the Akamaru ramen (red bowl) while my hubby had the classic white bowl. and both are heavenly delicious. The noodle was thin and chewy, the soup was not too thick, yet so tasty and smells super good. we finished everything in our bowl in 10mins. The gyoza was not as big as other ramen shops (bite-sized) which made us easier to eat, and very, very yummy!

You have to try the Japanese Ippudo ramen when in Japan!
(it's different with the branches outside Japan. Ive tried the one in Singapore, and this Ippudo Ebisu was way much more delicious!)

There's only 1 word to describe their ramen. Heaven.

This place is a short 5 minutes walk from Ebisu Metro. It's open into early hours of the morning. I'd order the classic special ramen which I would highly recommend. I've been to a few ramen shops in Tokyo, and this is the best by far. Can't wait to return again. Highly recommended

Compared to the many other ramen joints I've visited in Japan, this place seemed like a warm and quiet neighborhood joint, hard to believe looking around that this is the same place that I waited three hours for in NYC! Loved the ramen, the atmosphere (mostly locals with no wait on Sunday at 6pm), and the incredible mini gyoza! Ramen was up there among the best I had in Japan (alongside Ichiran).

We ordered Ippudo Karaka and Shiromaru Special.

Ippudo Karaka was a spicy ramen which you can decide the level of spiciness. I opted for 5 and it was super hot even to Malaysian standard. So if you are a fan of spiciness, do order Ippudo Karaka.

Shiromaru Special on the other hand is the normal non spicy version ramen, which was equally delicious with its flavourful yet not too overwhelming pork broth.
