I normally stay at this hotel when I am in Nagoya area as it’s so conveniently located, next to the major train stations, shops/department stores and restaurants, etc.…
The staff are always efficient and polite. The service is excellent with a Japanese touch. The rooms are spacious, clean and nice view. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. The deco is not modern, more western classic. You don’t see any Japanese influence on it. (It’s Marriott after all!).
Used the swimming pool for the first time which was located other side of the tower. It was nice and quiet, and a good-sized pool. The deco was a bit dated. It was an enjoyable swim apart from the shower/bathroom. I was very surprised to find out that the bathroom was a Japanese Sento style (public bath) even though it’s an international hotel and you don’t see any Japanese elements in this hotel. So you need to share the bath/shower with other users. There is no privacy. The powder room was well equipped.
The concierge lounge was spacious and offered a good variety of drinks and snacks. The recognition for gold/platinum members was excellent.
All in all, an enjoyable stay and will be back.More
