The hotel per se is fine with somewhat dated but large and comfortable rooms. Location is good. But the staff at the hotel restaurant! So they give you vouchers for a welcome drink. Valid from 3 to 10pm. Come 9pm and our kid is in bed and I think, hey, I’ll pick up a drink and take it to the room. No, you MUST sit down. Well, not going to happen with a sleeping child in the room. Maybe you can use it for a coffee or a water the next morning? Also, No (because it’s only valid from 3pm onwards). And the final insult? Can I please have a coffee in the morning and drink it waiting in the lobby for my family? No, you must sit at a table in the restaurant. Seriously, Mercure and Accor group - please teach your staff some lessons about who is the customer and what service attitude means. Ridiculous. Won’t come back.

Stayed on a business trip for several nights including the weekend. Pretty close to the station. Stayed in a "deluxe room" on the top floor. The rooms are a bit outdated, but clean and spacious. The heating (was winter) was working very well and relatively silent. It was pretty much needed as the isolation is poor and you could feel a temperature gradient from one side to the other. Breakfast is also OK, nothing great, just OK, with both Japanese and western. I usually stay at the Mariott on top of the station: the degree of luxury overall is quite differetn but so is the price. So, good value for money.

Hotel location is great. It is very, very near the main Nagoya train station where there's a huge Takashimaya dept store. There's also a convenience store just opposite the hotel if you get hungry late at night.

This hotel does not use hotel keycards but actual physical old school keys to open the rooms. Breakfast and lunch was nice. I used my Accor Advantage Plus for the discounts.

Rooms were simple classic. Apparently I was upgraded to a room which offered a better mattress. Amenities in the room were also good. I noticed there wasn't a kettle but there was a flask warmer if you want to have some hot water.

We stayed here for 5 nights during a business trip and felt thoroughly at home for the duration of our stay. The room was well appointed and bed very comfortable. The temperature in the room was just right and never needed to switch on the air con. Very little disturbing noise either. The breakfast was cosmopolitan and caters well for both the western tastes and oriental. We never ate at the restaurant but did have a couple of drinks in the restaurant bar. Nice subdued atmosphere and quiet too. Hotel is pretty central to Nagoya centre and surrounded by interesting and varied bars, restaurants and shopping. All in all, a super satisfactory stay!! Than You!
