Just got back from a 7 day vacation in Cozumel. My GF and I stayed at the Explorean which is part of Fiesta Americana. It is a smaller hotel and further back from the beach. It is steps from its sister hotel. The units are in a quiet tropical jungle setting. So if you want to get away from the loud obnoxious drunks that talk all night, book a room here. No tv in rooms which is fine. We brought an iPad and watched tv on a few nights. It has its own pool and chairs and beds to use around the pool. It has its own restaurant and bar, so the lines and crowds were non-existent. You also get to use Fiesta's pool and others restaurants and beach area. We usually did breakfast at the Explorean then the Ceviche Grill on the beach for lunch. Then used a mix of the other restaurants for dinner. All the food was good. I loved the Ceviche Grill and the Peninsula Restaurant the most. The servers were all very good. Part of the lure of the Explorean was the daily activities that they had. These are all included free when you book with them. All the activities were fun and exciting. I have been to Mexico many times and have booked a lot of excursions. These were very good.
