We've been waiting for this place to open as it's been closed for the new year. So glad we finally got to experience it! Unlike Din Tai Fung, we could actually understand why people were queuing outside. Best dumplings and best beef noodle we've had here. The price is very cheap, we shared 2x steamed dumplings because they were so good, beef noodle - the beef is chunky and melts in your mouth and the spicy wontons which are a bit peanutty, but add some extra chilly oil on top and it's amazing. Make sure to use the sauces provided, the garlic, soy sauce, chilly oil and pepper is a great combo. All this cost around £10. Great value.

It's quite long to wait. But it was worth it definitely. We have tried 4 places, including Din Tai Fung 101, but this restaurant is exceptional. Staff are super friendly, service is excellent and dumplings are so so yummy! Must try in Taipei.

Forget Din Tai Fung. This is where it's at. Dirt cheap and taste is f#%king legendary. Dumplings, soup, side dishes. Drop everything and go now.

Food is so good and cheap. Even taste same as Korean Chinese. Dry beef noodle with mushroom has same name as Korean (jachangmyeon).

I visited Fuda with a colleague that not being fluent in Chinese managed pretty well (thank you HWs).
The restaurant is located in a back alley but the TA map will take you there.
We arrived very early and got a table immediately but shortly after a long queue formed.
We tried several dishes since we were told the portions were small. They are regular so we could have managed with less.
Food is quite nice although some of the dishes might be somewhat oily.
The prices are low and the place is buzzing with locals.
You can get up and get some starters on your own. Apparently they are included in the price .
Overall is a nice experience. I preferred the steamed dumplings but the rest was also nice. I would be back although it's probably wise to bring someone that speaks the language.
Safe travels!
