This hotel is in an interesting area of Taipei and the basement floors contain a large number of high-end shops. The lobby is spacious and glittery. Service is exceptional throughout the hotel, and check-in was swift and gracious. In the lobby in front of the elevators is a step that one could trip over; however, a bellboy is stationed there continuously to warn the unsuspecting. The flower display in the lobby was stunning.
My room was modern, sleek and eye-pleasing. The chair by the desk was the ergonomic kind that make it comfortable to work. There were lots of electrical outlets and free wifi. The mattress was firm and a pillow menu lets you pick exactly the type you wish. The bathroom was modern and clean with both a tub and a separate stall shower. The bathroom amenities were high-end.
I usually don't order room service, but did twice for lunch and in both cases was pleasantly surprised. I wouldn't usually order a cheeseburger in most places in Asia, but it was one of the best I have ever tasted, mainly due to the quality of the beef. The breakfast buffet had all of the usual options to satisfy every ethnic taste, and was very good.
This hotel has got its act together. I would definitely stay here again.More
