Our first lunch in Taipei and definitely love the food. Traditional Taiwanese cuisine established more than 40 years ago and still crowded. Reservation highly recommended to avoid regret. Some of the very good dishes recommended by the house: braised pork belly, cold sliced duck, three kind chicken claypot, crispy fried pork marinated with fermented tofu, pork kidney with ginger and chinese wine. Bon apetite!

We have a good dinner at this restaurant. Taiwanese food is so delicious. They serve food quickly. All staff are helpful and they always smile. High recommend

A friend recommended this restaurant for a late lunch. Every dish was delicious, to say the least! The oyster cake is a must, kidneys, fried Pork Liver, worth a try- you will not regret!

This is a great Taiwanese restaurant serving great traditional Taiwanese dishes. I was told you need to be Taiwanese to really appreciate those dishes. Stir-fry vermicelli, potatoes congee, pickles pancake, etc are some of my favourites. The restaurant is right inside a Japanese style shopping mall.

Shin Yeh is famous in Taiwan, as it is the first restaurant to serve Taiwanese food in a traditional restaurant setting. It is a popular spot for tourists especially Japanese tourists. The food was still good, especially the crab with glutinous rice, but the staffs were not overly friendly and helpful. You will be surprised to find out that good service is very lacking in these normal Taiwanese restaurants. The waiters and waitresses are not rude, but just don't want to smile. They always want to rush through the meal. But for first time visitors to Taiwan, you should still give it a try.
