Dining in Taipei at a decent restaurant usually conjures a picture of very long queue, hence reservations are usually recommend it.
I was traveling from Hsin-chu to Taipei with a bunch of friends with a total headcount of 9 people which makes it even more difficult to eat anywhere.
Dozo was our solution for the night. We got our own table in our own area, and with a birthday boy on the table, we even got a tower of of 2 liter beer for free.
The food itself was fantastic for its price, with a touch of fusion on traditional Japanese dishes. Service was attentive but not intrusive.
Highly Recommended for group gathering!
