While my husband and I enjoyed the evening, we didn't enjoy this restaurant as much as we'd hoped. The ambiance felt quite strange and the food didn't live up to expectations. My husband's steak was very full of gristle although the flavor was quite good. The presentation of each dish was beautiful, but typically the flavor was a little bit bland. Dessert was a bit bitter and lacking in sweetness. We both really enjoyed the attentive staff however. They were very kind and attentive.

We, one local from Taipei and one from NYC, go this restaurant once a while and we both agree that this is one of the best in Taiwan.

It was a Chinese French fusion which will not earn any stars or hats. If the owner wants to aim at the true high end, try more attention to details and dining etiquette.
To start with, you do not serve bread as a course despite is bake on house. The suggestion to have your bread with Chinese XO source was a real gimmick. The wine list was really reasonably price. Ordered by the glass and alas, it was no where near 120 ml per serve. The chocolate coating for the chocolate mousse was way too thick to be made by a real chef.
The price probably gave the quality away as it was comparatively cheap.
