Affordable price. Located in ximending. A little bit far from station. Unfortunately, The day we left was a raining day. So everything was awful. Everything get messy. But ok compared to price. Room was clean. Not too small for 2. Typical breakfast with lots of Chinese food.

We stayed at this hotel from February 27 till March 4th in room 917. This room has no windows. It is big enough, with a double bed, a closet, mini refrigerator and a desk.
The bathroom has a large bath. The room was clean and is maintained every day.
There are 2 bottles water in the refrigarator and are replaced when they are empty.
The breakfast is an Asiatic buffet. Although the breakfastroom is very large there are moments that every table is occupied.
This hotel is only 0,6 km away from the MTR "Ximen".

We stay here for 3 nights and we enjoyed the most are their breakfast buffet and the unlimited coffee, soya milk and water available 24 hours. The room is spacious and clean. They do room cleaning everyday and change towel everyday. 24 hour reception and they speak English. They have lift to get you to the upper floors. Nothing bad to say about this hotel

We stayed in Diary of Ximen II for 4 nights in our recent trip. We have no problem locating the hotel upon arrival. It was a 7-min walk from XimenDing underground station. I believe the hotel has improved it’s signage. Both names - ‘GoSleep Hotel’ and ‘Diary of Ximen’ (they are the same) are clearly displayed. The sign board is now big and illuminating. Check-in was done smoothly and efficiently, and the staffs are polite and professional.

Four of us stayed in a deluxe quadruple room, which came with two double beds, a small wardrobe, a flat screen tv and a small coffee table (with coffee/tea and kettle). The bathroom amenity was adequate, including shower cap, tooth paste/brush, soap, shower gel and shampoo. There is also water dispenser (hot and cold) at every floor. There are also ample power sockets for the 4 of us.

The hotel provides free WiFi (good connection), daily breakfast, and the dining area (which is also the reception area) is opened 24 hours with self-service free drink (coffee, tea, soya bean milk etc.), which is a big plus. As for breakfast, though it was always crowded, we did not for one day experience any food shortage. The staffs always replenished the food and cutlery before they ran out. As dirty plates and cutlery are cleared very promptly, we also have no problem finding a table during breakfast hour. For these I really want to compliment the excellent efforts put in by all the staffs. Food was aplenty and was really delicious, especially the fried noodle, the ‘Taiwan Porridge’ topped with the mouthwatering braised minced meat ‘卤肉‘ as well as the soy bean milk. There is also a soup noodle station whereby you can get the noodle freshly prepared for you.

At the back of the dining area was a laundry room (open daily until 4am) where you can do your laundry (wash and dry) for free. They even provide laundry detergent for free (thumbs up!)

At the reception counter, there are two weighing scales which came in handy for guests who fly on budget airlines, because of the stringent rule on the weight limit for check in/ carry on luggage. Packing tools such as scissors, packing rope and tape are also available here. I feel that this is the most thoughtful hotel I’ve ever stayed. If I want to nit-pick, I would say I wish the hotel include egg (fried/omelette/scramble) in the breakfast menu (but really, it isn't a big deal).

Overall, we had a wonderful stay in this hotel. I would rate it as the most thoughtful budget hotel with great value and good location in Ximending area. I will definitely recommend this hotel.

On this trip with my husband and five of our Friends, we booked 3 rooms at the Diary of Ximen II - two double deluxe and one Triple Deluxe. They have a very reasonable price point for a place in the City, and with buffet breakfast inclusive of the fees.

The flight from Manila arrives in the wee Horus of the morning but we were able to arrange for a the very late check-in, and also AirPort transfers.

Our double room comes with a small closet and safe, a desk, a flat Screen TV, mini ref (with free bottles of water), and toilet bath. They provide clean towels, liquid soap and shampoo. They will also clean your room every day and Change your towels and sheets each time if you want them too.

Aside from breakfast, there’s unlimited coffee, milk, juice, and water available at the common area. There are also water dispensers on each floor.

There is a dining area but there is no Restaurant. That is not a problem though because there are plenty of convenience stores nearby, even a store next door that sells pork buns. In fact, as Soon as we arrived, we sampled some grilled sausages being sold next door.

The only downside is that there are rooms with no windows, so if you tend to be claustrophobic, you should let the hotel know in advance to give you a room with a window.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay in this hotel. It’s about 10 to 15 mins walk to the Ximen train station (maybe less?) and just 5 mins or less away from the Ximending commercial area.
