Description: Bubble tea origin

Bubble tea was invented in Taipei at Chun Shui Tang. The original location isn't around anymore, but the tradition continues at this location, just a short walk from MRT Taipei Arena station. Furthermore, it's not just about the pearl milk tea. It's an entire culinary experience, therefore, please order some food to go with your tea.

How it works here is: if you're ordering to go, go to the counter.
If you're dining in, tell the hostess how many, be seated, fill out the menu you're given, go to the counter, pay for your meal and place the order number with your receipt attached on your table.
Various waitstaff will bring your items to your table as they come up. Once all your items are delivered to your table, your order number is taken away.

First things first, drinks. I ordered a medium bubble tea with half sugar and half ice. It was huge. Not too sweet and the pearls weren't too big or chewy.

To go with, I ordered some turnip cakes, Japanese poached egg, grilled pork sausage and roasted sweet potato with cheese.

While this makes for a wonderful solitary indulgence, please feel free to bring a friend or two. This place is so wonderful!

If you only want to try one Taiwanese milk tea only, this should be the place to go. Taste of tea is not very rich, but it's smooth and quite aromatic. There are quite a lot of snacks to order too, and my favourite is French Fries and siumei.

If you're a traveler visiting to Taiwan for the first time, i would suggest that you come to Chun Shui Tang to get your first taste of Taiwanese foods and beverages. They have many outlets all around Taipei with very good atmosphere and affordably priced considering the quality and environment provided.

Certainly the food quality is top grade as you can order and try the many famous Taiwanese 'small eats' at one place. However make no mistake they are a teahouse which for me their signature drink is their bubble milk tea! I can't get enough of this as im an avid milk tea drinker and make no mistake that you will not get better one than this elsewhere.

I would certainly say Chun Shui Tang is a must go place to have your meal and a drink while you're in Taiwan :)

春水堂人文茶館信義店

We went there with over 10 persons. We were there for talking and drinking tea. I went to other branch before. The service in different branches may not good, but the food is O.K. The beverage was always my favorite, that is, pear milk tea.

Many restaurants said that pear milk tea was their invention. I did not know which restaurants were telling the truth.

Nice and quality taiwan food provide with a low and mid range price in a comfortable restaurant. But it may take a long wait especially weekend for food preparation and seat.

Must order the noodle and milk tea which are the recommendation dish.
