This family operated restaurant can only seat about 25 people at a time, but it's quite popular, and for a good reason. The food is tasty and affordable. I can't vouch for authenticity, but the wife does most of the cooking and she is Vietnamese.
The menu is only in Mandarin Chinese. All except one menu item is less than 100 NT per serving, so a meal is quite inexpensive. Three of us ate our fill for 350 NT (about US $11.50). We had about a ten minute wait before we could find a place to sit. The menu is printed on small pieces of pink paper. One marks the desired items on the menu and then hands the menu request to the cook or another wait person. The service is pretty quick considering there is only one cook!
