“Very nice walk, less than a hike”

Owner description: Hiking Trail park in Hsinchu City, next to Ching Hua University.
Reviewed 4 April 2018

I walked here from near Hsinchu main train station, it's about a 30 minute walk, mostly uphill. Once you enter the park, there are many steps to the top, stop and enjoy the shady areas and the birds. I exited on the south side, across from the Botanical Garden, which I entered and that area seems a bit neglected.

But 18 Peaks is full of pagodas and people enjoying the place, there are great views from the top.

Buses return from near the Garden to the City center on Baoshan Road.

Very popular trail in Hsinchu. Its very easy one but yes its beautiful. U can spent more than 3 hrs there. Parking felicities are there. All necessary amenities are there including food and water. So just go and enjoy. And dont miss any points. Its full of greenery inside the heart of the city.

This is very nice place for weekend morning walks...trails are clean and dotted with spots for relaxation. Felt very good.

While this hike was unexpected to have taken during the hot month of July, it was a peaceful retreat away from the normal hustle and bustle of work. With only a few miles away from the science park, it’s definitely worth the walk to get to the base and a small hike to the top to see a beautiful view of the city and country below. A definitive place to visit for the outdoor type.

During my study period in Hsinchu I went here very often to do some running. The Eighteen peaks park is an excellent spot for this. The air is fresh and cooler, there are nice views over the city and usually not too crowded.
