This, and the other Starbucks further down in Kenting, is exactly what you would expect from a Starbucks. I personally love their coffee, so for me it is a great place.
Location is great IF YOU ARE ALREADY IN THE MUSEUM. Otherwise you can't access the store. If your just out for a coffee, and need Starbucks, either go for the plunge and buy a ticket and get a museum Starbucks coffee and enjoy the (quite good) museum/aquarium. If not head down to kenting. Hengchun also has a slew of cafes - one by the taxi stop/bus station is quick and good, others on the back Street open later (2pm) but have good drinks.
If you are staying, you have to almost beg them to give you a porcelain mug- everybody gets a disposable one in Taiwan. Please ask. Please insist.
Food is not the same as western Starbucks. Sandwiches and fruit cups and bread and cakes, but no muffins or "hearty" treats.
