My home for two days is this simple and unassuming water front cottage. While it's not the newest, i fell in love with its rustic charm. Cottage itself can fit 3 people, and is spacious enough for 2 travelers. It has its own veranda with a table and chairs. I've always loved accommodations that provide this, so guests, when not swimming, can do other stuff (eat, read, write, lounge around) at the comfort of their own "home" with a great view of the beach. My bathroom has a glass roof, so natural light comes in every morning (part of its charm that i truly love and miss).

The resto/reception area could use a little cleaning/some sweeping though, especially in the morning. Wi-fi (which they say is available in the resto area) is almost non-existent. Staff -- very friendly. But then again, everything and everyone in Port Barton is really nice and friendly.

Would definitely stay here again.

I’ve been in Cebu, Philippines for working for 2 and half years. I had a lot of trips in Philippines. But Deep Moon Resort was the best for me. If you are looking for paradise, you should go to Deep Moon Resort in Port Barton, Palawan. It’s about 3 hours by bus from Puerto Princesa. There is nothing but nature. I spent 2 nights from Dec 31 to Jan 2, 2016. I did nothing but swam in the sea and read a book. Deep Moon Resort has 2 type accommodation. In one type you can stay at the house in front of the sea in a village. So you can buy something necessary there. In another type you have to go there by ship. The accommodations are in jungle. We had no WiFi and no 3G. But there is white beach and silence. I prefer the accommodation in white beach to one in village. As you know a lot of mosquito are in Palawan. So you had better go there on dry season from Jan to Apr. But mosquito net is in the accommodation. The facilities are very good and food is very good. Most guests are European. All the staffs are very kind and friendly. I can recommend Deep Moon Resort. I really appreciate the staffs.

All accommodations are good.

Room Tip: All accommodations are same conditions, I think so.

Port Barton itself is a lovely small town, and Deep Moon (as it's now known) is a great place to stay. It is right on the beach, and on the nicest stretch of beach too. Joy, who manages the resort, is fabulous to deal with. She is a genuinely lovely person and a true hospitality professional who will do anything to make sure your stay is perfect.

The food could be slightly hit and miss, but their Christmas and New Years buffets were really impressive. The restaurant area is huge, and it's a lovely place to relax with a book or look out to sea.

We had the "white beach annex" all to ourselves most of the time (there are only 8 rooms, and we occupied 4 of them). The food was simple, lovingly home cooked stuff. And the rooms were pretty basic (! - if you really need your a/c this may not be the place for you, as it only has power for a few hours each day). But in return you get the most amazing private beach. It was simply amazing. We took a few day trips - to beautiful uninhabited places. But always glad to return to our own strip of paradise. Port Barton is a long way from overdeveloped, but if you want something just that bit more mellow - this is it. Night after night round the open fire on the beach... unbeatable

We spent 3 days in this hotel in the cheapest room and even cheap we had a sea view... Of course electricity is working only btw 6 and midnight, so no need to take an AC room... For the day, they do not use the generator so get sure to charge all ur devises during electricity time.
