We found this little piece of paradise via Google maps when we were looking for an island to spend some nights. Looking back we should have stayed longer.

It's just an half hour boattrip from Port Barton but you feel like you are on the end of the world. Island hopping tours were also available with pickup from Capsalay.

Staff was amazing, food was great, even keeps in mind any dietary needs and or wishes. When you go for a walk the dogs keep you company along the way.

Best place we have been in the Philippens!

Thank you Sir for your review!

When we started the business, my husband and I toyed with names for our View Deck. One of them was 'Restaurant at the End of The Universe' (at that time we thought we would like a restaurant open to public attached) - homage to Douglas Adam's Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Since then sadly no Galaxial Hitchhikers but a plethora of interesting worldly travellers have passed our way seeking a respite from cockerel alarms, throngs of party tourists and noise. Nature is our best calling card.

I am happy to hear my staff had looked after you both very well. And the dogs a somewhat convivial set of companions. All part and parcel of the service.

We hope you will visit us again.

Where should I start? Everything is A-okay! I accidentally met Gigi cos we were in the same van going to Port Barton. It was during the moment i was resigned to the fact that i cant do island camping cos the one i messaged said they were full. And here comes Gigi tellinger her place offers that! Heaven sent!

I booked staying in a tent for 2 nights but i was upgraded to a beach hut where her family actually stays when they are there. Can't complain. Camping turned glamping. 😆

She toured me around the island and telling me about their efforts in making the place eco-friendly. They collect water from rain and use it eventually. The stack up pet bottles and put cement over it and make as steps or benches. To get a hot shower, you have a solar bag that contains water. Hang it in the bathroom for a few minutes under the sun and there you go! :D

The food. They are amazing! The fish they use they get it im the morning from the nearby fishing village. So surely they are fresh!

There is a small paddle boat you can use to go to nearby islands. Or if you are strong enough, you can swim and snorkel your way to to islands.

My fave spot is the deck! There is a hammock where you can lay. Or walk up a little bit and you'd see a hammock between trees with a view of the sea. Perfect place to have an afternoon nap! This is where i have the breakfast as well. Nice place to start the day.

Overall, it's an amazing place! If you want to get away from the crowd and just enjoy the sun, sand, sea and surf, I can't recommend this enough!

Thanks to Gigi and all the staff that made my stay grand. 😁

I am glad to read that you had a grand time!

What stuck out in my memory was our paddling trip from the campsite to Maroday island. Glorious weather on slightly choppy seas nevertheless turquoise blue. The paddle boat behaved itself impeccably.

Maroday's landing spit of beach was reigned by a small boat whose occupants (a retired Czech couple living the tropical fantasy in Port Barton for the last ten years) were about to depart upon our arrival. He to man the engine. She the sagwan (paddle). After a small friendly chitchat they started to reverse the boat only to be thwarted by a male tourist snorkeller appearing out of nowhere. Mr. Czech guy turned to me and drily said 'Traffic jam'.

There you have it. Sarah went home back to her desk in Ho Chi Minh with memories of an amazing holiday the next day. I went home with a new joke:

'What do you call five people on a desert island? A traffic jam.'

Thank you Sarah for choosing to stay with us. We hope to see you (and maybe with your family) again.

We stayed there for 2 days .. and that was definitely too short !
Great place, far away from everything (but still easy to reach as it is only 15’ boat from port Barton), simple but good comfort and more important, extra attention from owner Gigi to make our stay unforgettable.
We really enjoyed snorkelling, island hopping, etc... and recommend it, not mentioning the « family » fires for new Chinese year... and the chocolate cake for my son’s birthday !!!
I had hard time to convince my kids and husband to live on an island somehow lost for some days, but everyone wanted to extend the stay, a good sign definitely !

Many thanks to Gigi and all her team for the moment we spent at Capsalay Reef camp. This is a paradise on an island next to Port Barton where you can be out of the crowd. Food is awesome, and so many things to do in this place and around. There is everything you need to feel well. We appreciated that the camp is respectful of the nature, they literally leave with it. Definitely will come back if we can.
