We booked this on line thinking we would get a 30% discount. This is probably due to our bad french. We had the 49 Euro menu which was very good. My husband thought it was amazing - I would probably have chosen the cheaper menu as there was too much food for me. All in all it was excellent - the place is beautiful and the staff are fantastic - it's a real experience. It is such a shame that Ault is slightly run down - much like an older British Sea side resort but it won't stop us coming back and using the restaurant again. Would definitely recommend coming here.

You won't need a long review as there aren't many good restaurants in Ault, but this one is definitely worth a try! The interior is so antique and bombastic, the service is great (3 people were serving, all were extremely friendly) and the food is quite refined (food is great but French kitchen is always a little overloaded). As some of the reviews wrote before about the prices of the wines: not true, they range between 20€-200€ so for everybody's budget. Enjoy your meal!

We were in the restaurant with a Bongobon(romantic weekend with diner included). So the choice in our menu was rather limited and everything on that short menu was not available.
Nevertheless our diner was nice. Wine was seriously expensive.
Service was correct.

It had been about 8 years since we had been to this restaurant and were amazed to see the transformation. The décor is just beautiful, reminiscent of Regency style. The staff are welcoming and delightful.
We had a wonderful lunch. Everything is lovingly prepared and very tasty. The price range is above average but we thought it was well worth the price.
We will definitely go back there with friends.

This as meant to be a warm evening amongst freinds wh had'nt seen each other for several years...
We faced a most unpleasant reception by the tenants of the restaurant, making derogatory comments about our French friends who could not hear well, bangng the water carafe on the table after we had asked for it in vain up to 6 tilmes in 20 minutes, and making us wait 3/4 of an hour to take our order.... which arrived finally late, overcooked, hardly warm, and poorly presented ...
I advise all my non-French speaking compatriots to pass their way
I leraned later on in the region that the chef who made this place successfull had left some months ago because of disagreements with the owners .. I wish I had known this before coming..
